I love these games, espiecially when your in the mood to scare yourself!!! xD
Projest Zero (Fatal Frame) was my favourite one xD, FCUK i remmember this time i was walking in a room and some little girl just appeared right in front of me!!! scared the crap out of me xD, i actually curled up in my seat and closed my eyes without intending too, coz i was so scared :S!!! Also the second one, you know that feeling you get when you get all those chills over your body?? well i get that every 3 seconds playing that game :S! Highly recomend it!!!! amazing game!! the other good thing about it is when you play other horror games after you've played that, they seem so......unscarey xD!
I also adore Resident Evil 4 and the Silent Hill series! ^^

Re: Survival Horrors!
Blah. Never cared for the Resident Evil series. I liked Zero (Billy and Rebecca were cool characters), but couldn't stand the other four games I played from the series (the remake of the first game, Code: Veronica, and four).
Silent Hill is far superior. Each game in the series has a dark, deep storyline that really makes you think (RE's storyline is too dull and straightforward for my tastes). It has a number of likable characters who (unlike the majority of RE's characters) are well written and three-dimensional (one of the things I hate the most about the RE series is that its cast of characters consists almost entirely of cliched hero boys/girls and evil villains who want to dominate the world simply because they want to).
Furthermore, I like Silent Hill's monsters (Pyramid Head and Twin Victims ftw), environments, and music. They all truly make the games' atmospheres creepy. Personally, I like how the series works on psychological terror as opposed to a "AHH!!! MUNSTER!!!" type of fear. I never once became frightened while playing a Resident Evil game. Whenever a zombie or other monster popped out, I just laughed. However, whenever I play a Silent Hill game, my blood sometimes runs cold and I can occasionally feel my heart pounding in terror.
I've never played Fatal Frame or Forbidden Siren, so I can't comment on them.

I never found Resident Evil to be very scary. I am going to say silent hill because even though i never played it I did however hear stories. I intend to play fatal frame though. Seems interesting enough.
Also if your interested then play Haunting ground. I played it any enjoyed it quite a bit. Never got very scared but enjoyed the game none the less.

Silent Hill is pretty good it can get a little disturbing at times. Fatal Frame is pretty good too but only in the right atmosphere is when it's scariest. Also Haunting Ground is indeed a great survival horror of course it's not to scary since it's a stalker style horror. So fear of surprise attack wears out quickly. Besides you got a white german shepherd to protect you in it Hewie is a good dog
There is no true good, or evil even the best of good intentions can cause negative effects to take place.

He may be a good dog by the end of the game. But when I restarted it he was lousy. I forgot how much he didn't listen at the start of the game.

Re: Survival Horrors!
On your list I'd have to say Silent Hill...Mainly Silent Hill 2, it still manages to make me jump... Off the list.... I think maybe the Clocktower series was good for a quick scare. Then there was Phantasmagoria (sp?), Alone in the Dark, and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

Re: Survival Horrors!
the early resident evils where scary, because you only had character control, the camera was all done by the game, giving you that most gut wrenching feeling for any survival game... you dont know what lies around the next corner.
Silent Hill is similar, but far...FAR scarier. i need to change underwear every time i play it (i only have played numero uno)
