Spoilers!!!
I can tell you that if you think the show is intense now, just wait. In future episodes, the homunculus become even bigger parts in the show. Once that happens, it's all down hill. It's really sad in the end and I can guarentee tears. Around episode 21-25 Major Hughes will be shot and killed by one the homonculus. Ed and Al will take possesion of the stone, but at a terrible price, They will be reunited with their teacher, Izumi, who is outraged with what they have done to their bodies. We learn that homonculus are born from failed human transmutation, and yes, the Furher, King bradley, is a homunculus. We learn that Envy, the shape shifting homunculus is basicly ed and al's 'brother',and that their father is over 400 years old! I can gurentee that Either ed, or Al will die in the end, and that the survivor will regai their nomal body. Oka that's all I got

re: Spoilers!!!
ok i guess i'll have to pick where Yumi_Maehara left off. you will also find out later on that Lust had been made Scar's brother and then this whole thing about the 7 homunculus comes along about how these two alchemists named Hohenheim and Dante had tried to revive thire dead son and ended up make the homunculus and blah blah. Oh and i'm sad to say that Ed is the one who will die in the end he gives his life to restore Al to his body.
I know that last ones a real bummer
