There is no way in hell they are taking down Lucci, who can simply geppou in the air and rain down rankyakus (which sliced a reinforced steel warship in half). The only one that wouldn't work for is Tobi, who he could use soru to appear behind him and rokugan his ass to liquefy his organs. And would you mind telling me how they can hope to break Lucci's tekkai (think Kakuzu's iron skin x1000), which a jet gattling from Luffy couldn't scratch.

Anyone who says Akatsuki would win needs to back up their arguments, because none of you have said any reasons why other than "Akatsuki wins in a fight because I like them better"

and off course the Demon Shark Kisame Hoshigaki would make any navel battle short lived

Hidan is a joke without Kakuzu, who would be killed by a shigan to the head. After that, any of the CP9 members can dismember Hidan by any method of their choice

Even Mr. 1 back from Arabasta would slaughter Kisame, let alone CP9.

Unless it's seawater (highly doubtful), then Mr.1 would break through with no effort whatsoever with either his intense physical strength (lifting and chucking around houses like nothing) or by slicing through it.

Are you thinking of Crocodile/Mr.0? (who could still beat Kisame BTW) Because with him as the exception, they don't lose their powers unless they are submerged to the waist in seawater (in other sources of water they keep their powers, they just don't float). Mr.1 wouldn't be drained of his powers and would still be able to destroy the water prison due to his immense strength.

How would Gaara kill him exactly? Grind him into subsand? All Croc has to do is touch the ground to dry Gaara out or simply rip his ass in 2 with Desert Spada, or drown him in quicksand with Desert Sunflower, or mix himself with Gaara's sand and slash Gaara with his hook when he doesn't expect it, etc.

(he might be able to trun into sand but gaara controles it)

So does Crocodile, and he's shown much better control than Gaara has. When Gaara can create sandstorms and tornadoes big enough to cover an entire country with the move of his hand, then their control might be comparable. Even if Gaara's control is better, Croc can wait until Gaara runs out of Chakra and kill him via any of 100+ ways.
