Its either it hasn't sunk in with you yet, or that it cant sink in because there's nothing for it to sink into. It would pierce through ONE shield. ONE. O-N-E, Oh-En-Eee. Not all of them. The Spirit Bomb may be able to get bigger, but thats only if there are people that are willing to give their energy to form it. That means he has to sit there and form it, which means Dark Schneider can easily smack Goku down while he is even gathering the energy. The same goes for Goku powering up and all that, to hit SSJ4. He can and will get smacked during these little processes. How can you not have seen that? Oh wait.. I know. You've been saying the same friggin thing over and over again! "Blah de blah Goku, troll le troll, SSJ4. Even the SSJ4 Gogeta requires time- Dark Schneider could up and kill both Vegeta AND Goku in one spell while they are doing the dance.
