The moment she felt the sensation of the Horrors, and their appearance, she launched upwards, her wings flaring out. The good thing about Nina was her wings, that she was specialized in coming from the air to attack, she made sure to look back for Daniel seeing that he was alright she contorted her face into anger.

They would die.

With his shotgun, daniel blew off the heads of two horror's, he was knocked down by big horror but a RPG caught it right in its head, now with spots of spattered blood on his body he ordered 5 armed humans to follow him.

"On me, 2 on the right, 2 on the left, Sgt. your coming with me, were checking that building"

He pointed to a building that looked as it was about to collapse that had all windows but one shut.

"Nina keep everythings out here under control, your in command here"

Daniel busted the door down and chucked a grenade in, once he heard the explosion he entered the building.

Nina nodded, while swiping down and using her sharpened wing to slice the Horrors in half. There were many of them, her eyes narrowed as she skidded to a hault on the ground and slammed her fist into the face of another Horror. She noticed that a few were following Daniel's men in order to cut of their escape root.

With a thrust of her feet she was gliding close to the ground catching a few of the Horrors by the shins and doing a flip in front of the door.

"You won't pass." She hissed while making a protective stance.

I don't like this, its too freaking dark

"Allright boys light em' up"

Lights lit from the bottom of the tips of their guns, illuminating enough for them to see, there were going to search the buildnig for survivors.

"Chad, Sgt. Denton stay down here at the entrance with Samuel"

The man that followed him inside nodded and took cover behind a chair that looked down 1 hallway. The other man, took cover behind a table that looked down to the other hallway. At the end of the hallways there was a staircase, Daniel and his men would search going up.

Great, perfect way to die, killed from above

Travis your with me, James, Kurt take that hallway"

He started walking down the hallway followed closely by Travis.

Nina did a circular motion letting go of the Horror thats head was within the grasp of her foot talons slaming him to the ground.

She was about to head for another one when she was hit in the back, they were multiplying faster, she ordered several of the squads to fall back and pick off the ones that were trying to corner her while she kept a watchful eye on the entrance to the building Daniel went through.

She took a deep breath while pulling her arms upwards, and consentrating her energy to create a hammer of light, with a deep grunt she slammed the hammer onto the ground and like a wave of thunder it killed a great deal portion of the horrors. She wouldn't be able to keep them at bay while protecting the men for very long, Daniel needed to hurry.

JESUS!!!

A horror leapt and attacked him and travis on the 3rd floor, Travis got almost bit and slashed in the back by the horror's long claws. Daniel shotgunned it in the face killing it instantly, then lifted travis to his feet.

"You Okay?"

"Y-yeah, im fine lets keep moving we haven't found anything in the previous 2 floors except dead bodies..."

"Your right lets go"

He heard gunshots and a scream in the building.

Must of gotten Kurt or James, but it sounds like the horror's got what they had coming.

Reaching the 4th and final floor, Travis shouted to him.

"Daniel look here we got 2 wounded females!! Looks like a grandma and her grandchild!!"

Daniel ran up to the elder woman grasping her child, the ordered to Travis.

"Continue to the roof, I'll handle them"

Travis nodded and went up the stairs that lead to the roof, banging the door down and being out of sight.

"Ma'm, are you allright? Did they bite you and your Daughter??"

the woman trembled.

"No, they killed my husband and took my son to the roof"

"The Roof? Oh No..."

But it was too late, he heard gunshots and once he was outside there was 1 dead, 2 horrors eating Travis, 2 heading towards him and a bigger one holding captive a young man.

Nina frowned, that wasn't a good sound, her head moved to look upwards at the top of the building, they were up there by the clarity of the shots and a scream. Her orders were to stay down here and command the ground crew but Daniel...they were running out of man power and she could get up there...but that left the ground defenses open for the mass of Horrors that were accumuliating.

"Thunder hammer!" she screamed while taking out another large section of the Horrors, this was cutting it close!

He blasted off the 2 heads of the horror's heading towards him, then took a grenade and chucked it to where travis body, now a corpse, was laying.

"Sorry travis"

The grenade all but exploded disintegrating the corpse and burned the horror's that killed travis into nothingness.

He then holsted his shotgun, took out his Sbu-machine gun and threw a fire hydrant towards the bigger Horror, who was charging toward him.

"Eat this you ugly son of a B@#%^"

Daniel sprayed shots at the horror, but his shots meant to hit the hydrant which exploded at the horror's face and tumbled it down. Daniel ran up to the man who seemed clinging to life and picked him up.

Daniel laughed.

"You better not be bitten, cause going through all this for you really cost me"

The man coughed then chuckled weakly.

"Nah I fended one off by hand thats why im so wounded"

Kurt came out the door and helped Daniel with the wounded man.

"James, Chad & Sgt. Denton are with the 2 brothers we found and that old lady and her kid downstairs at the entrance"

"Good move out on my mark, I need to do something"

Kurt left with the wounded man. Daniel saw Nina fighting masses of horro'rs with help from the UHRM.

Time to make an entrance

Daniel grabbed his other sub-machine gun in his free hand and jumped the building's edge firing from his sub-machine guns towards the masses and landing cleanly next to Nina, allthough his feet hurt a bit he didn't mind.

"Sgt. Denton, move the people and the wounded now, Nina cover them!!"

Nina instantly broke her position and darted towards the people, her arms swiping along with her wings decapitating them without fail. She stood in front of the group and side stepped along with them killing every horror that dare come across her path.

She was relieved though...

"Allright the 2nd assault is here"

Daniel could see heavily armed trucks and Jeeps heading at their direction cutting holes through the masses of horrors, feeling relieved he unloaded his last rounds of the sub-machine guns on a 7 foot horror toppling it down. He pulled out his walkie-talkie and barked through it.

"Armored truck 1 report, we have survivors"

A females voice came through the truck

"Truck 1 here, got a little horror traffic jam here but im on my way"

Daniel smiled.

"Copy that Melissa, over and out"

In the distance he could see a big grey truck, with steel and metal plating everywhere heading toward his direction plowing through the masses of horrors while shots and shots came ouf of the trucks windows and the 2 heavy machine guns on top.

Nina did not even bother looking back at the truck, as she ducked down and plowed through several horrors, it was a good thing that they were close. She hated being responcible for other peoples lives it was a big hassle. Her eyes narrowed as she saw a horror that looked like a nastier one that before, jumping forward she split kicked two out of the way and made a break for the big one.

With one grand swing of her leg her talons collided into the body of the bigger one, only she was slightly surprised to see it get up so easily. Furious she spread her wings only to feel hands covering them. "Get off!" she jumped upwards managing to get a few off as she kicked at them randomly while fending off the larger one, it was a small trap as the horrors surrounded her.

That's what she gets for being careless...

The armed trucked stopped in front of the collapsed buidling, 4 men in SWAT uniforms jumped off from the back and helped the 5 survivors get in and then jumped backed in then the truck did a big U-turn and headed back. Chad, Kurt, James and Sgt. Denton ran towards Daniel and formed up behind him for orders.

Daniel looked twoard Nina, she was sorround by more than 10 horrors, He killed the horror in front of him then shouted.

"Sgt. Denton, Kurt, flank the horror's on the right, James, Chad hit them on the left, I'll plow through the middle"

He reloaded his sub-machine guns and started shooting at the horror's sorrounding Nina, his squadmates did the same about the same time he started shooting.

Nina was pinned down by the wings as she thrusted her leg upwards again slicing off the head of one of them, she didn't want to be a burden, she wasn't made to be weak!

Fiercely she grabbed one of the horrors pinning her down by the neck and threw him towards the others, the big one was the one she was worried about. Her talons on her grieves closing shut around another horror as she flung him any where.

She didn't want Daniel to see her like this....she wasn't a burden, she wasn't weak!

Daniel ducked as a horror's torso almost hit him in the face, he could not believe how strong and fierce Nina was fighting. He unloaded the last of his rounds of his submachinguns on 2 horror's and saved them for later, pulling out his shotgun, he hit a horror square in the face with the end of his gun and then blasting it in the torso into pieces.

"Denton, james, Chad, Kurt hit that thing"

The last horror on Nina was a huge Horror, Daniel had ordered his squad to shoot at it and he himself blasted the horror's left shin off. He could see the number of horror's were decreasing and that a small group retreated.

Things are going well, for the moment...

Nina pushed away from the large horror and got up, dusting herself off as she kicked a head and it rolled away. The Horrors seemed to retreat, however Nina was displeased by that.

Her fist tightened as she turned quickly, and started for the convoy, her teeth gritted. Her performance had been pathetic. She needed to train more, when she got back she would immediately.

Zeline gave an evil smile and gracefully bowed to him. "As you wish Sir"

She slowly raised her head, her eyes were filled with anticipation. "I can hardly wait to see the wonderful performance thats about to begin"

Zeline walked over to Nick, who was lying helplessly on the floor, and grabbed him by the neck. He struggled as she dragged him out of the room with a grin of her face. She threw him into a holding cell and slammed the door.

She looked through the small cell window on the door. "Looks like you'll get to live a little while longer......." She gave him an evil smirk. "But you should count you blessings while you can"

Zeline walked away with a smile on her face, leaving Nick lying on the cold floor of the cell.
