Just wondering if they are friends, lovers, or sister & brother. I've heard many people say all 3 of these things, and I can't seem to figure out which one is exact, although I think it's in-between friends and lovers. Professional help? xD

they are step brother and sister. there are rarely ever blood siblings that meet up with each other in soul society, which is described in the early section of the "save Rukia" arc.
^_^, i doubt their lovers as they lived as brother and sister for a while...but i'm definately sure there is doujinshi of them being "together" somewhere...
