Dream On is indeed Aerosmith, however Stairway to Heaven is a very good LZ song.

Stairway to Heaven was good, but they do have better songs. If anyone says that Stairway to Heaven is their favorite LZ song, they're not really a LZ fan, just someone trying to be cool

Personally I think Kashmir is a lot better.

Well it's a reasonable assumption given that you can't tell Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith apart

Besides, there's nothing wrong with someone having STH as their fav. LZ song, to each his own.

Though if you ask someone wearing a Led Zeppelin T-Shirt to name 5 songs by them, 9/10 times, they'll only be able to name StH. If someone mentions StH as their favorite, as a general rule of thumb, that's the only song they know

You're missing the point. Generally someone who says StH is their favorite Led Zeppelin hasn't heard any other songs by them and isn't really a fan, just a person trying to be cool. Not always, but quite often that's the case. It's like Nirvana and "Smells Like Teen Spirit": once in a blue moon you'll find a real fan who lists it as their favorite song, but 9/10 times when someone says it they're a poser and it's the only song they know.
