Man that movie was so funny. As what some wise person said in a review of the movie, it is Cops meets Joe Dirt. It riminds me of Reno 911 only the cops aren't as funny, but Ronnie is. The cheesy music video and the little thing in the middle done by Jack Black is so funny.
Man if you like any of the tings I have mentioned and haven't seen this movie yet, I sujust you do. You may not stop laughing for sometime durring parts of the movie. It is a whole lot better on DVD then VHS! It is one of the most halirious movies I have watched, and I have poeple that can voucher as well!

I'm assuming by the title it is based on the german indie hit "Run Lola Run"?

Nope not really that much like from what I read on it.
Run Ronnie Run, is about this dude he is always getting into trouble with the cops. He is this Gorga hick, with of course a mullet. He is continually drinking and has a best friend telling the story. His best friend is always getting hurt. In the end he ends up in like a metal drum, with a head sticking out on life support.
During the movie there is this down on his luck salesmen, after a big dilemma on TV all his "inventions" are trashed. He has this new idea for a TV. show with young Ronnie as the star.
The show is that Ronnie will get drunk then arrested in all these different cities. It's like cops, only it only follows Ronnie.
Ronnie then learns of the hollowness on Hollywood, and tries to find himself. He and his manager/producer have a moment, but then the moment is cut off.
Instead we have some dog like mutilating a duck/goose and jack black singing a very offensive song that looks like it was cut from "Marry Poppins".
Ronnie then makes a new TV. show about stupid stunts. It has a lot of cheesiness, especially the music video. I liked it, it was supper funny, but that is just my opinion.
