If the server hosting the website is outside of the U.S., the U.S. government has no jurisdiction rights. For example http://www.boxtorrents.com host many U.S. licensed anime, but the U.S. media companies cannot bar them from distributing it because it is outside of the U.S.

P.S. If you are to download from a server based in the U.S. and it is illegally obtained material, you have 24 hours until you HAVE to delete it from the computer.

P.P.S It's always better to take some leave some.

But, if you download it using a satellite connection, they do have jurisdiction, no matter where the server is.

If you really like the anime, just buy the OST...IF you can find it. I thought I found Peacemaker on a web site. I don't read Japanese, I had no way of telling the opening and closeing themes were not on it but everything else was. It's rare to get OST releases with all English covers and inserts.

Just don't look for any OST at Cons... the cheapest I saw at the last were 36.00 EACH! Ouch!

I have both Last Exile, All Sayuiki, sCRYed, Decendants Of Darkness and Hellsing. So far.

That is true, but most people download via broadband. And like what Hakkai said, if you really like it, buy the original disc. At least then you can own an authentic version of the animes OST.

I use WinMX to download music, but to be honest I don't want to spend hours DL the whole album. I pick samples, and decide whether or not I want to spend the money on the album.

But if you want to sample anime music for free. Try useing Real Player or Winamp. There are on-line radio stations that broadcast anime music for free. All you have to do is search for them.

I'm suprized at how no one else mentions this every time this topic comes up.
