The Devil's Rejects

A pretty cool interview with Rob Zombie about his new flick, The Devil's Rejects:

I was disappointed with House of 1000 Corpses, so I sure hope this one will be more fulfilling.

I have to say this, and correct you. The movie's title was "The Devils Rejects"; they forgot the apostrophe. Clearly the movie needs to improve its crew if it wants to have something decent for us to watch. The trailer wasn't that exciting either for a horror.

Let the darkdriver help everyone out here. I saw the movie for free; I got the pass from my local comics shop. :)

The Devil's Rejects is the sequel to House of 1,000 Corpses. Gone is Dr. Satan from the sequel, as it focuses on the insane Firefly clan and their troubles with the law. It has lots of violence and swearing, and some nudity and gore...so it's obviously not for everyone.

I liked the movie. I say that Mr. Zombie surpassed his first movie with this one. A warning to fans of Mr. Zombie's music: there is none of his music as BGM for this movie. Instead of the juxtaposition of different scenes for weird visual effect, Mr. Zombie instead juxtaposes 70's rock songs with the visual for weird effect.

Diamond Dallas Page has a walk-on as a bounty hunter in the movie...for the wrestling trivia fans.

And the night I saw the movie was specially chosen by Mr. Zombie & Lions Gate. It was the night of the premiere of Ep. 3...and the reason that night was chosen is that there's a vignette in the movie that takes place in a bordello that's about Star Wars and Star Wars fans. I thought the scene was hilarious...and so did the SW fans that decided to catch the special showing of the movie before they caught the premiere of Ep. 3.

Trust me on this: it's a great movie. I heartily recommend it. \:D/
