but the aviator got about 7 awards, but not there director, that was a gip! Martin Scorsese deserved that award, in 40 years all the great films hes made and never got an award, never!

Awards shouldn't be based on sentiment. They should be given according to merit. As true as it may be that Martin Scorcesse has made classics such as Raging Bull,Casino, and Goodfellas,there are many more equally qualified movies that have never won best directing or picture honors. Orson Welles and Quentin Tarantinio hailed has two of the most influential movie makers(by the American Film Institute) have never won oscars themselvse. You have to understand this, Oscar's are not the final word on what is the best movie, but this year I'll agree with the winners.
