Ravenloft (Gothic Fantasy) RP Ch. V "Labarinth"

Along with the picture of hte Katana there wer fifty other weapons all with different symbols, as stone flail next to a demented face, a mace next to a lion's head, a sword next to a fist holding lighning. A scyte next to a hand holding an eye, and many others. Additional text seemed to wind within the symbols, as if it was intended for special use.

Lobo was focousing with all his might to follow only the symobls that related to the white fang katana. He had no idea what the others were nor did he have any inkling to find out. With a few final words Lobo fell to his knees.

Within the throne room the white fang katana was restored to its brillance the girl with the harp gasped. Half from surprise half from fear. She held her sickle ready to defend from the swords strikes. Instead it destroyed the wall spell and followed the steps at lightning speed. Illumnianting the dark passagways reveling the true pain all over the walls. Among one of the turns the sword slashed through the spell revaling the true obsidion stair case. It buzzed down the steps and flew straight to Lobo stopping inches from his face.

She watched as his sword thing came hurtling through the room. She moved out of thew ay just before it knicked her cheek. As she moved, she felt a burning in her side again. Shje looked down to the thing she had put there, this time is was glowing a reddish colour.

She put her paws on her hips so he wouldn't notice.
"So, anything we need around here? Or should we get going now?"
She asked him looking at all the weapons on the walls. She then felt the need to look at them closer. All the strange markings they had, all the different shapes they were. She ran her paws up and down over the carved markings. She had never had a weapon in her life. ONly her claws did her work for her. Thinking after what she had gotten from the last time she played with things she didn't understand she just stared at the large poll.

It was made of a deep rich red wood. It was so pretty, she loved it. Only since the thing she has now is a good enough reason to leave well enough alone. She pawed at it once more, then turned and looked at the other for an answer...

Lobo's eyes returned to normal as his hair fell back into its normal place. Lobo's head was down looking at the floor till now. He now raised his head to look at the sword hovering in the air inches from his face. Similing he reached out and grabbed the blade from the air. It felt right in his hands like it belonged. Closing his eyes he placed the white fang katana were the shadow fang katana once laid. It fit perfectly the only differnce between the two blades on face value was the shaodw fang katana was night black while the white fang katana was snow white. What you couldnt see unless you were indoubted with magic site was the fact that the shadow fang katana drew its power from darkness and blood. The white fang Katan drew its power from holyness and purity of the soul who uses it. Hearing the grils words he replaced the book. Opened his hazel again eyes and said. "No we got all we need from here. Dont forget to relock it so she cant get in. Shes strong enough." With those words Lobo stared making his way for the door of the room.

"You sure?"
She asked him as curiousity began to over take reason once more. She was reaching out her paws to grab taht staff. It was almost calling her, she couldn't resit holding it...
"You think maybe it's best if I have a weapon as well?"
She asked as she now had in her grasp. She loved the feeling of the carvings under her paws. Moving it about in the air she felt a power from it. She watched as it moved with grace in her paws. Still watching the staff, she asked him,
"Do you think I should take this as a weapon with us?"

Lobo shot her a questioning glance but puled his eyes back ot the forward before she noticed-he hoped-"Yeah sure do whatevr. I just thought you were tied to the forest and didnt like weapons. But if you wanna take one with you I can't make the desicion for you. if you are please hurry and pick one I dont wanna be here when that girl gets here regardless. This is her castle...well it is now so I'd rather not fight her here. She knows the place too well. I'll watch the door just please hurry." The first was in a serious cool voice but soon his words began to sink in. They really didnt have the homefeild advantage here. Even when they did they lost. Cause of this his voice became slightly more rushed as he spoke. He walked out of the door keeping his eyes peeled hand resting on the hilt of the white fang katana.

"Yes, I'm tied to it, but this wood is from my forest. I know that smell anywhere..."
She told him right on his hells out the door. she had indeed picked her tool, using it as a walking stick out the door. She made haste in locking it behind her. Once it was locked, she had placed the necklace back on. As she walked behind him, her staff reminded her of the one her father had used. He was taught in magics, mainly specailised in those of the forest that she called home now.

She remembered how he had carved strange markings into it, much like the ones this one had... She just kept walking down the stairs behind him, trying to geet out and save her wood...

The stairs end after what seems like hours of decent, you come to a corssroads of hallways, one directly in front of you one to the right, and another to the left, seach has a strange making above it hat hurts as you klook twards it, simply because the mark exists.

Lobo hard pelted down the steps even after what had felt like hours of running down the obsidion steps. He stopped at the crossway. Taking a single glance at the markings he felt a stinging pain and jumped back. Okay lets avoid doing that again. That was stupid dont do that again. Lobo scolded himself. Drawing the white fang katana, and closing his eyes he placed it out and felt a pull towards the left. Alright then this thing should be attracted to good like the shadow fang katana was attracted to darkness. Alright hes hoping. As the girl approached Lobo quickly barked out. "Don't look at the symbols." That was when he felt it the white fang katana started revibrating and the pull got stronger. Letting his body go half limp and the white fang katana began pulling him off in the left dierction.

Starting behing him, the thing on her side started to burn. She stopped dead in her tracks holding her side. The pain was something bad, then all of a sudden as she backed away the pain started to deminsh.

The othre guys was long gone down the hallway. Looking down the two other choices, she didn't know which one would not hurt her. She started down the midle one, then the pain came back, only with a bit of blood this time too. Walking back out of there, the pain had stopped and so did the bleeding. Leaving the right left to take, she walked through it. The marking didn't seem to hurt her, she figured it was ok.

Very lesurely she walked along the walls, she saw the blackness on them like she had that other time. what ver light there was, it was dimming now, gettin ever darker. Lucky for her she was more feline then human and the light didn't effect her sight. SHe looked over to hetr staff, the carvings in it had glowed with an eerie lime greenish tint. She could see all that blackish goop on the wals again, it flowed like the viens of body. She just kept walking, making sure not to touch the walls, for she remembered the last time she had.

Lobo could hear scratching along the hall and could begin to see a large coiled figure with millions of plated legs in front of him, as the hallway opened into a massive chamber.

Lazuli could hear a moan of pain coming from far down the hall which seemed endless.

Lobo looked at the creature before him. Its millons of legs seeming cramped even in the large obsidion room. It cant fight in here it can barely move in here so what is this thing. Is it a captive of this girl made to be one of her "beasts". Like she wanted for me could it be something to scare away those longing for escape. That was when Lobo saw it a door slightly ajar and light coming from something he knew all too well. It was moonlight the wolf's guide. Holding the white fang out horzaintly with his elbows sticking out to his left side. Lobo bent his legs bending backwards staring at the creature. within his eyes were fury he wanted to leave this vile place and this thing was standing in his way. Even with this fire Lobo made it quite appearnt within his stare that he would only fight to get out. There was an uncomfertable silence were niether he nor the creature moved. Finally Lobo said calmy. "I mean you no harm I wil lfight and kill you if I have to. Either way I'm getting out of here. now please move aside and be assured if you take a swipe at me or make any negative movements of hostialtity I'll kill you." He growled out the last few words to prove he was serious he even tiled his blade to a more dangerous postion. It caught a tiny amount of moonlight from the door because of the gentle breeze outside. It relected off the pure white balde revailing the creatures up until now shadowed face.

Being deep into the long hallway it kept getting darker till the only light in the place was what ever was coming out of her staff. The green glow was illuminating a little path for her. She knew there was something very wrong here. Then the sound of someone being trapt met her left ear.

She paused for a moment, just stood to listen to what evre it was. She heard if again, it seemed to be in a massive amount of pain. Since it was on her way out of where ever she was. So she then picked on speed heading down the twists and turns of the hall. It just seemed to go on for ever almost. She felt something on her feet. She stopped once more and looked down, it was that black goop from the walls. She lifted up one foot and it was in strings like it had with her paw on the wall. This made her begin to break out into a sprint to try and get away from that "liquid pain" as the man had put it...

The beast turned with surprising speed rearing up thorugh the celing and boaring up into it, causing the forst door that led to the outside to collapse. It then boared through the floor up underneath Lobo letting out a horrid shreik.

The black goo seemed to retreat for a moment as if wishing Lazuli to continue on, as if it were part of a larger mind and was being directed.

lobo stared at the creature with a. "I so dont beilive this is happening" look. Sighing he looked down and shook his head. "I gave you a chance to live. Oh well too bad for. You!" Leaping sword drawn he slashed the creature it splattered Lobo in blood that felt like acid on the unprotected flesh of his hand. Wincing Lobo returned to the ground. That was when he notced the white fang katana was free of the creature's tained blood but in its place was water running down the blade. The felcks of water sparkled in the pale silver moonlight. Right I get it now. That creature's blood is like that goo on the walls in the spell staris. I'm not sure what that stuff was or how it fuels this creature but I plan on taking it down. The creatuer up kicked Lobo nimbly jumped onto a part of the giant armour of the creature barely avoiding its leg. Jumping from here he slashed the creature's chest. Another gush of dark crmsion cam flying at Lobo. This time he was ready he threw up his blade as the blood made impact with the blade it changed to water. The remaining blood flew by his face landing on the floor and burning into it. Leaping off a part of the creature's chest that was yet untouched by its own stickly acidic blood he landed on the floor.

She kept running as the sound of the moaning and pain what ever it was, was going through. She still couldn't tell what it was from the sound it made, she had never heard such cries in her life. She never noticed the goop was backing off, she just wnated out of here and back home where she belongs...
