John Norman's Gor series was really awesome as well. It takes place on a world called Gor also knowen as the Counter Earth because it shares an orbit with us. The rulers knowen as the Preist Kings keep Gor cloaked from Earths veiw. The only interaction between the 2 worlds is when they come to pick up slaves or warriors.

I also want to start with Anne Rice's Mayfair Witch chronicals but don't know where to start.

i quite liked "great expectations" by dickens. and sherlock holmes is always good

the best book i have ever read in my life is "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson

I cant wait for the third part and also the movie that will be released 2006.

i also like harry potter but too easy to read

Ender's Game is really good. However, the sequels aren't much worth mentioning. The Ender's Shadow book and the 3 sequels to that are much better than the Ender's Game sequels. Achilles is such an awesome villain.

If you like Sci-fi, you should definitely read this books!

Artemis Fowl Series

I have one and one only favorot: Varjak Paw

I've read quite a few of the books mentioned. Macbeth, Anne Rice's books, ANIMAL FARM and the Otori series are all good.

BUT. The cream of the crop has to be Ender's Game. I absolutely loved that book. I read it a few years ago, and fell in love. I have't read the other books in the quartet but yeah, I heard they aren't as good.


I'll add:

1984 - by George Orwell (he's the author of Animal Farm but this novel kicks its ass)
Triage - Scott Anderson (also awesome)
Heart of Darkness - Joseph Conrad (I'm still reading it but it's causing me to mentally orgasm)

I finished Heart of Darkness last night. It had me all pensive, kindof awestruck for a while.

In a moment of madness I decided to read one of my english texts for next year, A Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night and finished the sucker! It's an entertaining but easy read. A psychological murder mystery, fascinating protagonist! *insert non-existent nerd emoticon*

The Crucible is really a worth reading book. The movie remake was ok.....didnt really catch on or cut off details from the book. God I hate that....
