Hmm I knew and understood this already, but when the sentence gets more complicated, I get lost.

I don't know how to explain it really.

lol, well, have a think about it, I can't really help you out if you can't tell me what you want to know

I know I know lol. I just can't really... explain it. I'll try and come up with a sentence and show you. (Since I can't write it myself, hence my problem lol)

Oh and btw Geisha, do you live in Japan?

Not at the moment, I used to live and work in Japan, but that was a couple of years ago

I really wanna go back but I have to finish my degree first

Alright. Lol here's a sentence I don't get

kimi to yakusokushita yasashii ano basho made.

I guess it's not the SOV form that throws me off -
I think it's words such as Koto, kono, and so on...

I don't know exactly where to place them, or the extent of their meaning in the sentence.

kimi to yakusokushita yasashii ano basho made
キミと約束した優しいあの場所まで

"Untill that gentle place we wished for"

What we have here is called noun clause, only the sentance you picked out stumped me for a minute, so I will dumb it down alot so you will be able to understand straight away

In english, we say "The park where I walked", "the park" being the noun and "where I walked" being the clause that describes it

It is completely different in Japanese. It comes out "watashi ga aruita kouen desu"　私が歩いた公園です

"watashi ga" is "I", "aruita" is "walked", "kouen desu" is "park". So literally translated, it comes out "I walked park". When saying something like "The park where I walked" in Japanese is that the "Where" part, wich is the noun cluase pre position, gets dropped, you don't need it. Just like "The shop that I saw this shirt" you would also drop the "that" in this sentance

This maybe a little confusing at first, but after a while, you will realise how much easier it is then english

Wow... Awesome explanation. Don't worry, I got it right off-hand. I should have thought of it... -_-

EDIT: But I see that Yakusokushita (Which is playing as a verb) is in front of Ano basho (Another Noun)
. So does it like... more intricate sentences always work in this manner? (Noun Verb Noun). Or does it get more complicated than that?
