Kai doesn't die in the English version. I don't know about others. But you can check at websites which include its Japanese Episode Guide.

*sigh* Apparantly it was an over-dramatised faint because he's stood up and fine again afterwards. And he's shown alive in the actual Japanese ending soo .. and he's alive in the manga so they can't really kill him off ._.;;;

he's one of the major characters, they can't possibly kill him off besides many will get upset and mad....like me if they will kill him off.....

I never got to see the last half of Season 3 and it makes me sad and angery becuase they took it off air and I can not find anything that I can get the information at least from.

I have heard that Kai dies in the end, but then also I found a video on YouTube that is supposed to be the last scene/part of the last episode. Tyson/Takao (sp?) and Kai are laying on a hill and Tyson/Takao is talking about having the one battle he promised 'a certain pal of his'. Then he and Kai stand for a last battle, and the episode ends with them being surrounded by a bunch of their fans and Ray/Rei, Kenny, Max, Daichi, and some other teams. Then everyone says "3,2,1! LET IT RIP" and they launch their blades. The last thing we see is Dranzer and Dragoon (I do not know the Japanese name for these) high over trees, ready to battle.

So My question is. Does Kai really die?

Sorry this was so long and maybe even a bit annoying.

this is the ending of series 3 of the English version..that i've seen..its the correct ending of the english version and have described it quite nice..but i don't know about the japanese version..u should prefer taking that coz its the original version and most correct

Kai doesn't die is according to the English version. What happens in the japanese version can be different, but more original. I mean the neglish version isn't fake but sometimes their is a bit difference in the episodes btw the english and the japanese episodes, like the songs

well,in our version(in the philippines), kai doesn't die and i think that in the japanese version kai also doesn't die.

I remember someone here saying that Kai dies in the japanese version and what we are talking about is english version.... That member said that the american parents didn't cared what their children see and thats why english versions are edited from japanese versions...Well, I dunno ?
