I have some of those off Limewire, Gravy-Train. They even have a section on it.
But for me, mainly rock...speed metal, classic, it's all good. Except emo, emo sucks balls

I didn't vote. Where is the option of rap music on that poll? And yes, you can dance to rap, just watch some music videos before you judge. And whoever said that just because you can't dance to something its not music? Because you can't dance to [censored] rock or heavymetal, I know that. Not saying rock and heavymetal sucks, I'm just saying you can't dance to the [censored].

However, as for the music I do enjoy:
Rap
R&B
Nu-Metal (OK, well all I know about Nu-Metal is Slipknot for the time being, but I am trying to broaden my horizens--any suggestions?)

A lot of today's music has lyrics that sound like COMPLAINING. Since when did that become enjoyable to listen to?

Lyrics that complain, sounds like emo to me. Not necessarily though. I'm not a fan of emo, but lyrics that make you sad can be enjoyable to listen to. Thats hard to understand, why the hell would anyone want to feel sad? But its true. There are sad songs in every genre of music, even rap.

I dislike all rap and techno stuff i've heard because I feel it lacks musicality/feeling. Its computerised [censored]

Some 2pac was okay i guess. Eminem isn't too bad, one decent song...but its still silly.

Music is defined as "harmonious sound created by the playing of instruments or use of vocals as a whole or individually." and thats a conservative definition, a more broad definition of music is "organized sound."

So rap is music, just because you dont like it doesnt mean its not.

Oh and btw, there are rap songs that have melodies.
