Air is a very high quality anime but I am sorry to say that it lacks in the story department.

I suppose they do borrow from the "it happened in the Feudal Era" reference a bit too much (considering the beliefs in demonic entities). I think the story would have been better if they left out that part to be honest with you Shinogu.

You mean the story of Kanna-sama that appeared in the Air movie? Actually, I couldn't understand the story until I knew about that story. I was confused the whole time I was watching the anime. I kept asking myself "How can Misuzu have wings?" And after watching the movie, I asked myself "Is she a reincarnation of Kanna-sama?" Didn't that confuse you, Pseudo?

Yeah it did. I thought all that talk about a girl with wings was metaphorical, not literal. It also took me a little while to realize Misuzu was Kanna's reincarnation.

Still the fact that Misuzu did these things was what drew me to her:

1. Her love of dinosaurs (she has two of Gojira's movie posters in her room)
2. When she cried Momma to Haruka when her father came to take her away (the part made me cry as well as her dying in Haruka's arms)

I liked Misuzu's "gao" a lot. It is so cute that she loves dinosaurs too. Have you seen the movie? Have you noticed that Misuzu's relationship with Yukito was more intimate than it was in the anime?

Yeah, I saw the movie too. I was quite convinced that it was more intimate and loving than the anime. I expected them to kiss, and truth be told, they did.

Have you tried the PC or PS2 game of Air? It is a shame that they both are in Japanese. The PC version is for adults since it contains some hentai scenes but there is another all ages PC version. As for the PS2 game, it is for all ages, as well. I would love to give it a shot but since I don't understand Japanese, I won't be able to play it. :(

No, sadly. I had no idea there was a game till I looked up all Air-related media one day. I can't believe they let Yukito...have sex with the chosen girl you make him pursue. And show the scene too, wow o_o

Yes, I was shocked too to know that Air is an adaptation of a Hentai PC game. Yukito does have sex with all the three main characters. I would rather go for the all ages version and it is a bit more expensive than the adult version.

Who is your favorite female character? I like both Misuzu and Minagi. Minagi is the one with the long, grayish hair. She appeared in the anime.

Have you heard that the Air anime was licensed and that it is coming out on DVD in the U.S. in August? I mean, the first DVD will be out in August. I am not sure if I am going to buy it.

Minagi was cool too, handing Yukito rice coupons when he expected cash XD

Yes I did hear that too. I checked out which lovely ladies will be voicing the gals in the U.S. dub. I must say they picked some quality actresses. I would like to purchase it too when I get the chance.

I'm digging this up because I've definitely just gotten done watching everything. I cried at random moments instead of just at the end... it was a very emotional anime and while it was confusing, I think the story was very unique. There's truly nothing better than a story that confuses in my opinion.

I bought the dubbed DVDs and they were great... although they're releasing another one which is confusing me... but they did that with Chobits too with all the little mini catch-up episodes.

ANYWAY! I understood it pretty well, although it was heartbreaking to watch.

It's up on my top favorites with Chobits, Petite Princess Yucie, and DNAngel.
