Unfortunately, it just wouldn't work on Lord of Nightmares, seeing as Lord of Nightmares is connected to everything and everyone in the Slayers universe. Plus killing it would kill everyone in that universe and the Death Note doesn't allow the death of one person to endanger the life of another.
