(I know I''m going to set myself up for a lecture but) Irregardless of what Lady Rin thinks (and she is really pissing the sh*t out of me.) this still makes me laugh when I watch it Scorp. *giggles* I don't know, maybe she just thinks I'm immature?

Oh but you're wrong Nyx. I just said I never use coarse and vulgar language. I never said I didn't have an appreciation for when, where or how it is used. (You asked for a lecture and you're getting one). After all what about in film, which I find more acceptable than print. Or in a play. There are several important plays written where swearing is important not only to the dialog but to the plot. Certainly not on TV or radio I do object to that. When used properly it it can be quite effective. As when my husband chews out an employee but when said in front of a guest or client? Never! Nonetheless when overdone it does become offensive and I do find it overdone today where everyone seems to have a string of expletives at hand for every occasion.

BTW:
  1. If your so into swearing why did you use that spelling?
  2. It makes me laugh too.
At this point I suppose I should laugh like a proper lady..

Take another look at my post, will you? I didn't ask for a lecture, I wrote I know I''m going to set myself up for a lecture but. Now, maybe it's just me, but that doesn't sound like I'm asking for one, does it?

I don't enjoy swearing so much as it's a habit. A bad habit, but they are just words so I suppose it's as bad a habit of telling people that they are amazing and they are my new Gods. I censor myself because Spidey asks all the users to keep our language clean on the boards and in the chat. I respect Spidey, so I censor myself. It's as simple as that.

Start looking at what people write, and stop looking at what you think we wrote.

Setting yourself up for a lecture quite often invites one.

Not only that you have taken this into a discussion. You're right swearing is a habit. It can also take someone a very long time to break a bad habit. Censoring yourself because Spidey (assuming Spiderman) asks is all well and good because he's a great role model. (He has nice pecs too). Only wouldn't it also please Spidey if you didn't swear on the streets?

Tell me
