I've always wondered, is Meshuggah pronounced Mess-hug-ah, or Mesh-ug-ah?

The Melvins were popular. [censored], I mean they were affiliated with Nirvana. Nirvana even covered a bunch of their songs.

They just weren't Mtv popular.

Actually...I think Mastodon is pretty well known. They're on MTV, and those XM/Sirus radio shows quite frequently as well.

Blood Mountain, ftw.

They were somewhat popular in the Nineties, but not that popular. Nobody today knows who they are. That counts

I've heard of the bolded ones before. Opeth FTW. And Funny enough, I'm probably the first person here to have heard Job for a Cowboy. I saw them in 2004 back when they were a local act. They've certainly gotten better since then...

The only music MTV/VH1 ever plays now is emo and teen pop [censored]. They'd never play Mastodon

And just because a few XM/Sirius channels play it, doesn't mean it's popular. Hell, I heard them play Dark Funeral a few days ago.

And no mention of Necrophagist? For shame, AA, for shame...
