The realm of shadows seemed to get slightly bigger. There was a new shadow, the shadow of a person. He marked Sasunes shadow so he would be able to find it again. He was bored and wanted something new to do. He found the new shadow and found the nearest cactus shadow to come out of. Once he was out, he ran up behind Sarah. "Hey, you look a little lost out here. Is there any way I can help you?"

Sarah felt the demon presence shift and vanish for a moment; perhaps it had done what it was asked to do. It wasn't until she heard a voice behind her that she picked up the presence again, "Hey, you look a little lost out here. Is there any way I can help you?"
She narrowed her eyes, why was the demon that was secretly following Sasune coming out and talking to her, the human?
"Who are you demon?" Sarah asked, uncertain whether to call out to Sasune and get her attention or deal with this herself, "You may wear a human form, but you are definitely not one."

Sasune frowned as she had no response from her master. She let out a sigh as she looked back, seeing Sarah following them. She stopped sensing an unfamiliar demon presence. "Sarah!" She called out with a slight alerting tone

Eric sighed. "Why must demons be stereotyped as evil, just because they are called 'demons.' I'm just a solitary demon who is just trying to survive. And this desert is my home. So, I thought I would show some hospitality. But if you dont want it then fine. I'll leave then." He was genuinely insulted because everybody thought all demons were evil and not one of them could be considered good. He heard Sasune call out to Sarah. "Ah, it looks like you know that group of people. I guess then you wont need my help." He turned around and sighed. And I thought I would finally have some company for a few days. Damn, I'm lonely." Damn, he was a good actor. He could have been a movie star. Eric was laughing on the inside and hoping they would buy his story.

Sarah rolled her eyes, this was one melodramatic demon. Maybe he was evil, maybe he wasn't. Who knew?
Sarah turned as she heard Sasune and waved to indicate she'd heard her. Then she turned back to the demon in front of her.
"Tch, no need to get so over the top," she muttered, then sighed, "Seeing as Sasune and friends have noticed me, it'll be up to mostly them and whether they want you to tag along or not."
Sarah wondered why she was giving this demon a chance, but shrugged, it couldn't hurt and if he did turn around and attempted to stab them in the back...well they outnumbered him.

Eric was grinning on the inside. If he could get at least one of them to trust him, then he should be able to get the others to trust him too. Besides, the closer he gets to his target, the easier it will be to get her. He just need to drop a few hints about he might know something about her past, and then she should be hooked.

Sarah knew that making this decision would take some time, so she found the nearest shadow to sit on, as the sand would be far too hot. Anyway it was a good a time as any to take a well needed rest.

He turned to Sarah. "How much water did you bring with you? I have plenty and I can always get more from the cacti, so if you need some, dont hesitate to ask." He smiled nicely at her, trying to be friendly.

"Two bottles, so I'm good for the moment," Sarah replied showing him her bag with its two water bottles and returning the smile, "So, is it really that lonely out here? Wait that's kinda a stupid question isn't it? I mean you're in the middle of the desert! Of course it's lonely out here, not many people, even demons like this weather."
Sarah shook her head to stop herself from rambling; a very bad habit of hers when she met a new person.

"Well, I got tired of being called evil just cuz I'm a demon. Many demons get tired of humans calling them evil, so eventually, they act just like the people expect them to. I didnt want to turn into to that kind of demon, so i just had to get out of that area. I'm here to help people wandering through the desert." Eric laughed. "Kinda lame if you ask me. I can only lead and help with water." Well he now had to see if his story fly with Sasune. That was the only thing that mattered.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mikuru was happy.........Eric was doing a lot better than expected. This could be the best thing....unless, of course, he started to have connections and get attached to her....that would be the only problem that might arise.

As Sarah listened to his answer, she thought about the other demons she had seen. She was pretty certain none of them had cared in the slightest what people, especially humans called them, but then again she'd never really sat down and talked to one properly before.
'Maybe I've been too quick to judge...' she thought.
As he finished with a laugh and how all he could offer was direction and water, something occurred to her.
"Well both of those things are vital to survive in the desert and come to think of it, I don't know your name," Sarah stated, then added with a smile, "Mine's Sarah."

He was happy. He worked his way her good side. This would be easier than he thought. He forgot how easy to manipulate humans with emotions. "I'm Eric. Nice to meet you."

Sasune watched as she had seen Sarah talking to another. She ran up to them with a smile that had slight alert expressions. "Sarah~ what are you doing here? I thought that you were going to stay at the village?" She asked. She tilted her head at the demon beside her friend with a skeptic look. He seemed quite normal, but he was a demon, which made it difficult for her to stay calm.

Eric looked at her. It was only a matter of time. "You're with the group of people right? I can lead you through the desert. I live here is the desert. I can take you where ever you wanna go. Can I be of assistance to you and your group? My name is Eric, and yes I'm a demon."

"Ha, I wasn't going to stay by myself and let you guys have all the fun!" Sarah replied grinning, "Though I'm not entirely sure what's fun about going into the desert."
She watched as Eric introduced himself to Sasune, wondering what Sasune would decide to do.

"Its nice to meet you, Eric. I'm Sasune." She said with a smile. Although she thought that letting this demon assist them wasnt a good idea, she couldnt help but feel that she wanted to help him.
Letting out an inner sigh, she let out her hand for a handshake. "It would be nice if you could assist us through this desert. We sort of got lost some how, Id like for your help" She smiled
