the first two shows are updates of old 70s super robot anime. Mazinkaiser is an update/sequel to Mazinger Z (or Tranzor Z in the US), and New Getter is a remake of the original Getter Robo (Starvengers in the US). I'm very biased towards anything related to 70's super robots. I just bought the Princess Mononoke DVD, and although I saw it before (5 years ago) I just saw it again now. beautiful.

Just finished Orphen. I give it 7.5. Wasn’t sure about the first few discs. It’s a good thing they all came at once or I might have removed the rest from my rental queue. Once it go going, it was good. I’d rate it higher if the first half had been better. Had to add a new hunk to my “yum” list, sorcerer master Childman. Jason Douglas, one of my favorite ADV voice actors did the English voice for him. Orphen is pretty cute too!

Just don't let the nursing home's resident geezer/hacker tap into it and plug in the old man's dead wife's persona! This one is geared to a slightly more sophisticated audience but is fall down funny.... and I usually don't do humor. A very witty look at a problem facing society.
