well my favorite author would have to be R.L. Stine, i love his books and Steven King's books too

I like J.K.Rowling(Harry Potter) J.R.R.Tolkien, Anne Rice(Interview With the Vampire) Cristopher Paolini, and Bram Stoker. I have read a couple of Stephen King books, but I didn't find them very entertaining at the time. :mrgreen:

I'd recommend anything in the Ender line of books, like Ender's Game, Xenocide, Ender's Shadow, etc...

not sure what you are trying to say about the metaphor part.

i like lemony snicket he wrights the best series of books in the world! there called the series of unfortunate evernts.from 1 bad beginings -11 the grim grotto. :mrgreen:

Let's see i like. Ursula Leguin or something to that effect. She wrote the Earthsea books. Diane Wynne Jones. most people know by now that she wrote Howl's Moving Castle but she also wrote the Chrestomanci series. Susan Cooper who wrote the Dark is Rising series. C.S. Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia. K.A Applegate, the Everworld series. i didn't get a chance to read Animorphs. Chris Paolini. J.R.R. Tolkien. J.K. Rowling. I realize that most people know a lot of these authors but for those who don't there are some of the books they write.

This should be easy enough...
J.K Rowling, J.R.R Tolkien, David Eddings, R.A Salvatore, Robin Hobb, Douglas Adams, Anne Rice...
The list goes on and on...
But my ultimate favourite must be Anne Rice, because of her vampire chronicles.
