so basically according to the manga opacho is a girl and according to the anmie opacho is a boy

Well look maybe in japanese version opacho is a girl, and in english version a boy!!
Or in japanese version a boy , and in english a girl!!

Opacho is a boy in both Jap Manga and Anime, but became a girl in English (don't ask me why...they changed everything, starting with Hao's name)

Here in Italy opacho remains a boy and I think is the better thing to do...

If I'm no wrong in the end, before dying Hao send Opacho far away so he woudln't see that...he's the boy that Hao treats better...thinking about it by the way he treats him, Opacho could be his son...(I know he isnt...I was just saying...)Hao even say "please" sometimes when is talking to Op

hey, i've also been wandering, 'cause the manga says opacho is a girl, but in my country (portugal), our grammar is more complex, so we always know is a person is refering to a boy or girl because of the prefix used. but here they sometimes translate opacho as a girl and others as a boy.
so, what the hell is opacho????????????

i think opacho is a girl, mostly because of her attitudes, the way she talks, and her clothes, hairstile and few habits of quite natural of south east african girls...
but not being sure is so frustrating....

i don't agree, at least not if you've ever been to africa or know their costumes (i was born in south africa). but, this is not a personal preference, i'm just following the clues and i came to the conclusion that there is more evidence that opacho is a girl than a boy, not only based in the physical aspect but in many other things... maybe we should just ask the writer, hã?
