"As long as you dont harm him any further, you may stay for one night only" Kaoru said

Kenshin frowned slightly. "Ms. Kaoru don't you think that she should stay as long as Damashii stays? They are betrothed, that they are."

Mazuki smiled,picking Damashii up."Where is his room then?"

"last door on the right" Kaoru said. She had coughed again. This time, it was worse

Everyone was ignoring him, Kenshin sighed, he didn't know why he even bothered but what could you do. The day was getting late. "I'll clean up dinner Ms. Kaoru." Kenshin stated.

"Ill help you, Kenshin" Kaoru said getting to her feet. She kept coughing.

"There's no need to Ms. Kaoru, I'll finish up here," he looked up into the sky. "It's getting late Ms. Kaoru you should head to bed, that you should."

Kaoru shook her head. "Uh-un. Im helping you clean up." She coughed again. Was she alright?

Kenshin caved in, picking up the pot the stew was in he traveled to the kitchen setting it down, he decided to leave that for later. "Oro, I forgot about the laundry!" Leaving it out to dry at night wasn't a good idea, that certianly wouldn't bode well with Ms. Kaoru.

He quickly stepped over to the line and started unclipping the hanging clothes.

Kaoru walked over to Kenshin with a basket for him to put the clothes in. She set it down and went into a little bit of a coughing fit.

Kenshin eyed her for a moment before putting the clothes and pins in. "Ms. Kaoru you should get some rest that you should."

Kaoru pouted. "Fine" She walked back to the house.

Kenshin took a deep breath, the night air was refreshing, the stars too beautiful to count and now, finally the world wasn't fobidding him death. It was going to be at least quiet for now and he could be at some ease.

Being Battousai, he was getting more and more threats...staying here would only endanger his friends. Kenshin pondered on it under the moon.

Kaoru walked into her room and layed down on her bed. She felt slightly dizzy. She then drifted into a peaceful sleep

Kenshin decided for the night being he would be on watch, something may come up and he didn't want to be asleep during it. He quietly sat down beneath one of the larger trees in the dojo yard and gazed across the way.

In the morning, Kaoru awoke with a fever. But only she knew that. She walked outside and saw Kenshin. "Where you out here all night or did you wake up really early?" She asked. She slid down the trunk of the tree until she was at its base, sitting next to Kenshin. Her face was extremely red.
