Yuko thrust Himawari into the classroom and hissed, "Sit down and shut up."
Himawari merely smiled and plopped down at her seat while Yuko went out into the hallway.

Noticing Emily, Yuko walked up to her and asked in a stern voice, "Young lady, do you realize what time it is?"

*Makoto smiled back, a genuine smile. Her eyes lit up and her smile was warm and kind. Kit, finally locating them, paused and watched with interest. She hadn't seen Makoto smile like that for a very long time.*

"Really now?" Yuko asked in a soft, dangerous voice. "If that's what yoru schedule says, I might just change it . . ."

"Wow..." said Xavier, taken aback at Makoto's smile, "you have a beautiful smile."

*Makoto gave him a bemused look and blushed. First time she'd heard that one, too.* "Thank you, Xavier-san." she said, looking a bit self-concious.

"Why do you look like you don't believe me?" Xavier asked, studying the expression on Makoto's face.

"Well...because I," she hesitated, "I've never heard that from anyone before." Makoto admitted sheepishly, avoiding eye contact now. A stray strand of hair fell out of place and swept in front of her eyes.

"Then everyone's been too blind to notice it." Xavier said, his face taking a more serious expression as he brushed the hair from her eyes.
