which ishida though? The only ishida's that's awesome is Ryuuken and Uryu after he get's the 1200 or 12000 (can't remember right now) shot bow, but I highly doubt your talking about the same uryu. Oh and when he realeased all his spirit pressure he was controlling it, the thing is he used up all of it so he lost his power (what a moron) in trying to defeat Kurostachi. The fact he failed to kill the captin with the advantage in both power (for that short period of time) and the advantage in terrain concidering Kurostachi has no where to run because he could move neither left or right proves he fails at life. He's cool in the manga after he gets the crazy ass bow though. God that things awesome.

Dammit. Just because he wan't able to kill a Captain with a last resort doesn't mean he fails at life. What kind of Logic is that? :/

I mean, what if you were trying to fight him, you do the same thing, and fail? Does that mean you fail at life in your eyes too? No, you wouldn't think of yourself that way.

what I was saying is he lost all of his power using an ability that should be able to take out an opponent at that level yet still he failed even with multiple variables on his side. That's why he fails, that and his father also stated that he had no talent and had no right to be a quincy.

Kubo knew Ishida was looking like a moron so he decided to make him cool by giving him a pwn weapon that can kill things as well as a less egotistical personality which I personaly am very happy about. The ishida you guys are talking about is the one from the Soul Society arc who I regard as a moron and in the words or Ulquoirra trash.

well from what I can tell people were agreeing with my initial statement on the first page so I assume they're all thinking of the Soul Society Ishida which I was refering to. You also mentioned a scene from that same arc which led me to believe you people were talking about Ishida during that moment in time. After all, the ishida after the manga gets rid of some of his senseless quincy pride and starts to kick ass without the stupid idea that he can kill any shinigami simply because he's a quincy.
