Chapter 8



Kurama and Kuwabara were walking to the arcade after running into Kayko and Reya.
" Hey... is it me or is that foreign exchange student hot?" Kuwabara asked.
" Kuwabara, I have no time for that."
" Geez Fox boy, do you always have to be such a stiff. Come on, you should be easy to hook up with a girlfriend. Hahahah. You just need my advice on girls that's all." Kuwabara suggested.
" No not that, somethings bothering me. Did you sense it?"
" Uhhhhh, sense what?"
" When I was around Reya I sensed her spirit energy."
" Uhhh. Yeah, everyone has spirit energy."
" Her's was different, I never sensed spirit energy like that before. It was a lot stronger than usual."
" Really, I didn't feel anything. I was paying attention to the other feeling I was getting if you know what I mean, " Kuwabara said.
" Huh, Botan, Yukina, and now Reya. You sure fall in and out of love quickly Kuwabara." Kurama said.
" Uhhh. I can't help that I'm being surrounded by beautiful women."
Kurama sighed and shook his head.

" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!" A woman yelled running towards Kurama and Kuwabara.
She stopped infront of Kurama breathing deeply with tears in her eyes.
" Someones chasing me please help me!" She pleaded again.
A sinister looking man calmly started walking towards them.
After a few seconds Kurama's senses started kicking in.
" Kuwabara, its a demon."
" I know." Kuwabara said with a tone of voice.
The woman clang to Kurama as the demon came closer and closer.
" He's been following me since I left my house. Please help me." she repeated again.
" Don't worry." Kurama replied.
" Kurama, I guess I have to fist fight huh, since you know..." Kuwabara whispered to Kurama.
" Yes, I'll comfort her."
Kuwabara walked over to the demon and met him halfway.
"Why are you following her?" Kuwabara asked.
" Mmmm. You must be a spirit detective. Humans sure are attractive creatures.." the demon replied with a repulsive attitude." I would love to get a little taste, or even lick of her blood." The demon started drooling.
" Ughhh. that's it, I can't stand guys who attack harmless girls!!!!!!!"
Kuwabara became enraged and charged straight towards the demon. But the demon dodged his punch and headed for the girl again.
The girl squezzed Kurama harder.
" Please don't let him hurt me."
" He won't if you let go of me." Kurama said
The girl looked up with an embarrased face.
" Oh sorry."
She let go just in time. The demon pulled out a dagger from within his cloak and lunged for Kurama.
Kurama easily evaded it and punched the demon right in the stomach. With aganizing pain the demon collasped.
" Should I call the police?" the girl asked.
" No, You better get home and not speak to anyone about this. I'll take care of it." Kurama said nobely
" Thankyou so much!" the girl said happily." I'll have to repay you someday!"
" That's not necessary"
" Yes it is!!! My name is Kyla, what's your's?"
" Shuuichi."
" Thank you Shuuichi, I'll give you this as a reward."
The girl walked up to Kurama, stood on her tippy toes and kissed him on the cheek.
Without a word she then ran off in embarrassment.
Kurama stood their shocked of what happened before his communicater started ringing.
" Hello." Kurama said with a shaken tone.
" Kurama!!! A demons in the area." Koenma yelled franctically.
" Uhh a little too late Koenma, we got him already."
" Geez that was quick, well I'll send Botan to pick him up."
Kurama turned off the communicater and put it back in his pocket.
" Hey she didn't even ask what my name was..." Kuwabara said sadly.

Chapter 9

It had been a week since Reya moved in.
Reya was extremely nervous as she and Kayko were walking to their first day back to school.
Kayko noticed Reya's anxciety and tried to calm her down.
As they walked into the school the noise level drastically went down and all eyes were cast on Reya.
Reya tried to ignore it, but tension was building inside and she nearly fainted.
Kayko had her two hands placed on Reya's shoulders, to try and support her weight,just in case if she fell.
" Oh Kayko, I don't know if I can do this, the first day at my old school was hard enough." Reya pleaded with a weak tone of voice.
" Come on, we're almost in home room, you feel much better if you can sit down and take a break."

The two of them finally reached homeroom after stumbling through the student crowded hallways. Reya sat down in a desk next to Kayko and on the other side happened to be Kuwabara.
" Hey Reya, how are you doing?"
" Ohh, fine Kuwabara." Reya said weakily.
" Are you sure, you look like you have a fever."
Kuwabara was about to touch her forhead but Kayko slapped his arm just in time.
" Ouch, what was that for, I was just checking her head."
" Leave her alone, she's just really nervous right now. Let her go!"
" Jeesh, violent type."
Kuwabara sunk into his chair and crossed his arms.


After a few minutes a young female teacher walked into the room.
" Welcome 10th grade students. I am Miss Karyoko, I"ll be your homeroom teacher." she said as she sat in her seat.
" Now I have news that we will be having a foreign exchange student in out class."
She scanned the group of students to see if she could find her. After searching a few seconds she spotted Reya.
" Oh, you must be her, your Reya, right?"
The last thing Reya wanted to do was introduce herself to the class and become the main attraction to her homeroom, but she had no choice. " Yes, I'm Reya."
" Would you please stand up and talk a little bit about yourself, I'm sure the other students will be fasinated to learn about you."
Reya sighed and slowly stood up. Though she felt extremely lightheaded and nervous she started speaking.
" Hello, my name is Reya Conner, I'm 16 years old and live in Maryland. Which is located in the United States of America. I have an older brother and sister. Their names are Taylor, and Erika. I also have a horse named Vermilion............... I uhhhh.................... ummmmmmm......................................................................................."

Chapter 10

Reya slowly opened her eyes. It took a few seconds until her vision was no longer blurry. She heard a woman on a loud speaker announce for someone to come to an emergency room. Bewildered, she jolted up out of her bed and scimmed the area. She rubbed her eyes in disbelief and finally noticed that she was wearing night-gown-like clothing.
"Ohhhh Shoot!!" Reya said out loud in English.
She collasped hard back into her pillow and stared at the ceiling. Reya tried to put her recollections back together, but it was useless, it was just like a big puzzle to her. She couldn't remember when she got here or why.
After a few minutes of pondering she just shrugged her shoulders and lay their unsure what to do.
"Oh I see your awake," Kayko said as she enterend the room.
" Can you tell me what's going on!" Reya said in English again.
Kayko looked at her oddly as she approached her bed side.
Reya just realized that she was in Japan.
" Oh, sorry about that, why am I here, what happened?"
" You were in school talking about yourself when you passed out."
Reya once again rose from her resting position.
" I passed out!" Reya shouted.
She sunk down low, embarassed. " I never passed out before...."
" The doctor said that you were really nervous, that's all."
" How long have I been out?"
" Ummmmm," Kayko looked at her watch." About four hours."
" Do my parents know?"
" Yeah,my Mom called them when it happened. The ambulence came into the school and all of that..."
" Ohhh, great..." Reya said as she lay back down.
At that moment a long red-headed boy walked inside with a somber looking expression on his face.
" Oh so I see you finally have awakened." Kurama said.
" You must be....... Shuuichi right?" Reya asked.
" Yes, Kuzuma wanted to come in as well, but I suggested him not to since he's a little lively right now." Kurama explained.
" I remember your name, but I can't remember how I got here.... I remember walking into the classroom and Kuwabara was sitting next to me...."
" That's right, I'm sure it will come back to you soon, you just woke up a couple of minutes ago."
Reya felt a little better after talking to Kayko and Kurama.
"So are my parents coming?" Reya asked.
" No, the doctors assured them that you would be fine. Its not necessary to take a half a day flight because you pass out for a couple of hours..... Now that I think of it, I believe that's its a good idea to tell the nurse that your awake." Kayko said.. " Press the button over their and she will come." she said as she pointed to the button.
Reya reached over and pressed it, momentarily a high ringing noise echoed throughout the room.
" A good day to start off your first day of school." Reya whispered under her breath.
