Goku went ssj2 in the gogeta movie,and he went ssj2 after Gohan and the supreme Kai went into the ship to destroy Buu, right before he fights vegeta.

Piccolo does slice babidi in half,however that does not kill him.after Vegeta kills himself trying to beat Buu,Buu regenerates and then uses his powers to heal Babidi.later Buu fights ss3 Goku and after the fight is over MAJIN BUU kills Babidi.
