kag and inu or kikyo and inu. i'm jaded on this subject. i do not like kikyo. hate is a strong word to use for a cartoon character but i do find myself chanting it like a mantra when i watch those episodes.

i think inu knows deep down he does not love kikyo. i think she was the first person who ever showed him attention and he automatically assumed it for love. he is more infatuated with her and in the turn, made a promise that he feels he can't recant on. back in that era, being that there was not much physical wealth to go around on, promises and someones word weighted a lot more then it does today. for him to promise to find her peace, it means everything to him to do. mind you all, he never promised to go to hell with her, he told Kaede he woudl follow her, but never directly promised to. he did, however, tell kikyo his life was hers. is it the same, maybe...maybe not.

kagome loves inuyasha. that's obvious and she has half heartedly admitted it. would she ever step in though on the relationship he has with Kikyo, regardless of if she wanted to? no. if she was given the chance to watch Kikyo die, would she? no. kagome has to much of a heart to watch others in misery. hand in hand though, seh would never be able to downright tell inu how she feels.

it's a catch 22, no way out of it. damned if you do, dammed if you don't. i just don't hope that inuYasha (or kagome cause she would) makes the mistake of ressurecting kikyo as his indepted wish. that would make it badddd....but up side, she could die from being hit by a bus then....

all in all, kag and inu all the way...they just have to fall from their pedastals to admit it first.
