"Master Luriyu Gilgalad, Son of Elminister Gilgalad Duke of Yamoto" the harold spoke and the door opened. his two monk guards waited by the door and Luriyu walked 3/4th of the throne room and bowed his head while kneeling with both of his knees.

"MY queen, crowned prince...you called for me?" he asked face down before raising his eyes to meet them.

"Yes, yes. Step forward," she motioned for him, and then to Lawrence. "Gilgalad, Capitan of the Arbiter, this is Lord Lawrence Oleander from Opessa, son of the late Lord Terrance Oleander."

The prince nodded in reception of the guest, although he wasn't sure how well Luriyu would act for being called for something like this...

"Gilgalad," the Queen started. "Lawrence has long taken a deep interest in fine vessels and upon hearing that yours was the fastest in Valant he once stated he wished to observe the ship from personal experience sailing on it. I would like you to take him on your voyages for however long he wishes..." she laughed slightly before shaking her hand. "Forgive me, I COMMAND you to take aboard your vessel Lawrence."

Lawrence put up his hands defensively. "Your majesty I do not wish to impose upon this young mans current objectives, it would be disrespectful."

"Lawrence you are to modest," she giggled before narrowing her eyes at Luriyu. "What say you?"

Luriyu fought back from rolling his eyes, he detested politics but could play it well. "i have two requests," taking a short pause he continues speaking "firstly Lawrence will act as a member of my crew, and as such will have to follow my orders...and the order of my lieutenants, i don't doubt his service record, but he will have to prove himself." he looked at Lawrence waiting for his reaction "Secondly i wish for an extra garrison to be stationed in Bellread the port i am currently restructuring"

Lawrence smiled and put his hands up. "I've never sailed a ship in my life, I think I'd only get in the way! I'm a noblemans son, we had servants and crews."

The Queen snapped her hand up. "You dare presume to think that I even care about what your demands are?" She was offended, he spoke as if he had standing in this court. Hardly, he was a self-made Armada, and while she encouraged him she did not owe him anything. "I will appease the second request because I'm feeling sickeningly kind today. As for the first concerning Lawrence, he is simply to be an observer, as far as I'm concerned he is of higher blood and ranking than you."

She snapped her fingers, and from the pillars came her royal guard. "Luriyu, I will only warn you once. If you EVER presume to make demands of me again, I shall have you and your underlings killed without pause. If I'm not satisfied with that, I will hunt your closest family members and irradicate your name off the face of this planet. Do you understand me?" Her eyes sweltered.

"My Queen please, don't be so hasty, he is simply ensuring the safty of his vessel and crews!" Lawrence intervined with a nervous smile. "I'm more than capable of helping whatever it would be that he needs me to do, I'll gladly work my way on his ship and listen to his commands."

"Lawrence your really are too kind." She smiled before angrily turning to Luriyu. "If you dare come before me with insolence like that again...I'll have your head on my wall."

Inside Luriyu was laughing, he didn't expect such a harsh reaction from a simple request "my deep apologies" he spoke as if he was very sorry, in truth he wasn't.

he detested the Queen but was still loyal to her because she was the bigger threat, but the Gilgalad's were loved by the peoples of Yamoto and the surrounding colonies. if they were killed by the queen they would by martyred and under the banner of one of his trusted officials, or the elders of the warrior monks there would be a rebellion. he bowed standing up making sure to step to the middle of the room before turning around and leaving, the two monks.

They walked down the red carpeted marble hallway "that went well" he laughed making sure the door was closed "why don't we restock, and we will leave post haste...my father is getting a message for his own men and a trusted official to rule over Bellread"

the monk nodded "but Lu...we could hear her from behind the door" he pointed out worried "one's legacy will out live their life time...i want to go down in history as a righteous man...like my father, no greater than my father"

"Such an insolant arrogant child," the Queen hissed. She was infuriated but she wasn't stupid and she surely hoped that for his own sake neither was Luriyu, Valant after all was the biggest power in the world...his measly family of monks was nothing, but a spec that could be wiped off without a moments thought. Opessa, Mianmar and Dulran were under Valant control, that boy was picking the wrong kind of fight. "Lawrence?"

Lawrence turned and gave her a bow. "I wish to catch up to Capitan Gilgalad, and speak with him perhaps my voyage with him should be delayed for another time."

The Queen simply nodded, she had a headache. Lawrence briskly walked out of the large audience chamber, catching up to Luriyu in the halls.

"Excuse me, I would like to speak with you Capitan if thats alright?" Lawrence inquired.

"I would be honoured too" he smiled and nodded to the two monks who quickly ran off ahead to the ships and get things done.

"from the way the way's are going, i'm gonna have very few allies when i'm older" he laughed jokingly despite the dark situation "so what would you like to say?"

Lawrence chuckled. "The Queen is merely put off by all of the pirates that seem to be surfacing, her wrath is inflicted upon many that stand before her." He motioned for them to start walking, Lawrences face is of the sincerest kind, he smiled with delight. "As much as I would love to accompany I fear because of me you have been placed in a terrible predicament. If you'd like we could postpone the endeavor for another time."

"i'm constantly in predicaments" nodded Luriyu "i don't mind having another one aboard my crew" Luriyu smiled "i dislike responsibility's, but i take care to see it through the end when they are handed to me"

as they walked through the wall Luriyu came to admire the gardens from a window. he stopped and smiled "beautiful gardens you have here...but their nothing like the Garden Towers of the southern tribes, they were beautiful, golden carvings lined the walls and colors of all sorts lined the side walks, the stone itself seemed like it was constructed from vines and wood"

Lawrence nodded. "It sounds like it. I'm truely though for you allowing me onto your ship like this, under well...less than noble circumstances. I am as you are and well a bit worse off being so close to the Queen," he laughed while scratching his neck. "No matter how many times I convey my interests lay elsewhere she persists. It's a bit disheartening really."

Lawrence was rather impressed by this young Capitan, a man that stood tall and was a very gentleman, no wonder why such a delicate thing was left to him. "I suppose you have no fear of pirates, after all you took a port with only three ships and your loyal men. That is rather impressive for one of your age."

"i merely lit their ships aflame and disallowed them from entering the docks... my men are stronger on land, and the fact they drank themselves to sleep did play a major role and we still managed to have most of the villagers untouched, not many were killed that battle" Luriyu spoke, before continuing to walk.

"but i prefer to talk more of Diplomacy, and economics more than the thrill of war...but i do enjoy war games...at least i know i'm not sending my men to their deaths"

"Still your tatics and strategies are said to be vastly supirior to most." Lawrence stated while walking aside him. "Tell me what is it that you most desire as a Capitan of a ship? Even you must have an ambition that grows from the seed of being a seafairing man."

"pretty much live in a society where no one goes home hungry, poor, or grieving from war...pretty much a place where no one has to fight to survive, maybe for fun and challenges but no one should die because of it...or something close to that" he laughed embarrassed

"an unrealistic dream, based off my father's belief 'that the best battle won is the one never fought'. people call me naive because of it and i know nothing is perfect...but still i want to live in that world, everyone does" he smiled, they neared the entrance to the palace the door men opened it up for him "so if you want to take the trip, meet me at the docks at sunrise my flag is clear blue with a white dove" he was handed his staff and with his hood up he walked out of the golden gates alone

Meanwhile at the port town of Bellread the town was solemn and quite, 20 burning rafts were set from the remnants of the docks soldiers saluted, the monks had pulled out praying beads and the people kept their respects. there were some tense moments between Luriyu's fleet and the former pirates, but they were kept under control by the monks and Shinn. Yuki was resting for the most part.

Lawrence merely bowed as a sign of respect, he put his hands into his pockets and lazily sighed looking upwards into the sky...

There were two birds making circular motions darting here and there...he smiled...

"Everything has been set to your specific orders Capitan." The underling stated.

Nina was silent, Shadow took the liberty for answering for her. "The crew may do as they please for the rest of the night."

"Yes sir!"

He left the two alone still gazing across the sea. Nina was silent as she leaned on the rail over looking, the day had gone by quite quickly. The sun was setting on the isle and the preprations had been completed, they would set sail tomorrow at day break.

They're attention however did not remain on the sea, as two birds started chirping loudly and swiveling around in the air. Shadow grunted.

"It seems Lawrence has succeeded," he stated with little enthusiasm. "What are his orders to be?"

Nina's eyes narrowed slightly. "He needs to remain inconspicous."

Shadow made a motion with his hand. "This Luriyu must be becoming quite an intricut part of your plan."

She was silent.

"Ah," Shadow was intrigued, Nina's silence to him spoke volumes. "So he is more important that just a small role."

"As of now I have no need for him or his ship but," she glanced in the direction of a uncharted part of the world. "I've no doubt he will become a key player eventually."

"Such forsight for one you've never met." He stated openly. "Lawrence seems to think he is a idealistic young man that may yet have the passion to help us without force."

"Idealism is for the ones who wish to change the world, I've no care for the world or where it goes." Nina replied without change in her voice. "Luriyu, is a fool."

"Yes." Shadow agreed whole-heartedly. "I'll send word to Lawrence." Turning he made a move to leave before stopping and glancing back at her. "A penny says he gets his head cut off."

"I don't make bets I can not win." Nina stated, Lawrence would probably be beheaded but that was no concern of theirs. "A penny says he stabs himself."

"Deal."

With that the night trudged on, tomorrow would be a very long day.

The Arbiter had set sail in the morning, they had brought supplies for three months for two ships. they were only able to do this because of the low manned crew. he stretched and smiled as the sunlight hit his face and the salty wind blew he sails in full.

it was only a few hour trip, and when he got back the docks were already being repaired, the entire town was at work, the women preparing food and drink, the men building and the children were having fun or helping out the woman. this was a turn around by the town, but he didn't doubt the occupation force helped to keep things low.

He was met by Yukimuira and they shook each other's hands when they finally met.

"i'm back"
Yukimuira nodded "you missed the buriel...but then again you were called by the queen"
"she was a bit to wound up if you ask me"
"maybe she should have a relaxing massage and a couple of drinks" Yuki laughed
Luriyu laughed along and they continued on into the inn where Shinn was working, on building plans.
"hey Shinn, leader's back"

Shinn looked up from drawing his blueprints and nodded silently, the two joined him and Luriyu looked over on the plans "so you want to build a wall?...those take ages and we don't have the man power"

Shinn sighed "we received word that your cousin Britta is going to oversee the town, she's brining 50 of her personal men and about 20 skilled building trades people, she already received word about your promise, and thought brining in trainers would do the town good"

Luriyu nodded "that's good"

Lawrence rubbed his brow and took a deep breath, he was tired already! "My this town is quite disheveled!" he announced glancing around quickly.

Although it did seem that Luriyu had quite the arsenal of followers. It seemed odd really, Luriyu was a noblemans son and had such a vast amount of manpower, he must have quite a few tricks up his sleeve.

Lawrence gazed upwards into the sky, it was beautiful day today. Birds were chirping and playing with each one another. He turned slightly too the outstretched sea, and in the direction of a particular island...they were no longer there.

"Diety the waters are perfect for full speed," one of the upperman stated. "We should do thirty knots, as you ordered."

Nina merely stayed silent as she stood at the stern of the ship, it was beautiful day, which meant the area around Deep Sky was perfectly fogged. It was commonly known that the area was clear during horrible weather and foggy during perfect weather, another oddity of the world but who cares?

They were coming up to the brink of the territory that was known as Deep Sky and as she expected in the not to far distance were the ships of Valant trying to fly their way through. There were however as rumored the Black Pirate sails that would come and keep them at bay. Perfect.

As long as Valant kept attacking they would have a singular moment of opportune time to break the wake and enter passed the fog where the Continent that had yet to be named laid in wait.

Nina, was curious about one thing...what had her father found that the Queen wanted so badly?

"Diety, we've recieved a message from The Reaper, Capitan Shadow makes that the Black Pirates are only of the last of the eighteen, they will not attack."

Giving a curt nod she turned, too bad there would not be a battle but there are more important things to find...
