Have ever noticed how Yugioh and Dragonball Z are quite the same? After Goku beat Vegeta, they became rivals. Thats the same with Yugi and Kaiba.

Super Saiyan! DB was created in something like 1984 and DBZ in 1989, then GT came out in 1996.

That was when the original mangas were published, then they were made to anime. I don't know much about sonic the hedgehog so I couldn't tell you.
