Superman vs the hulk who will win?

There are plenty of superheroes that have super speed as a power, or as a secondary power.

And I just looked through my JLA graphic novels, and the Flash does say that Wonder Woman, Superman and the Martian Manhunter all have super speed; they just aren't as fast as the Flash (Who by the way, is capable of going past the speed of light.). And if we count Smallville, it is rather apparent that Clark has super speed, especially when he goes up against Bart Allen, the future Flash.

And as for the fact that Superman needs sunlight, His body is perfectly capable of storing the sunlight he needs for a single fight. In the JLA/JSA miniseries, It is stated that Superman is capable of going without sunlight for several weeks, provided that he tops off beforehand.

And yes, I have read the Marvel/DC Crossover comic book, in which the Hulk and Superman fought to a stand still. However, I would not take the outcome seriously. Each of the battle outcomes were selected by phone-in votes. How else would Lobo, who has super strength and immortality, be beaten by Wolverine, who is a mutant with razorclaws and a healing factor, but has litte else?

Some of you people are missing points. I'm not getting on anybody's case or anything, but some of you are just not explaining things properly. Remember; a character battle is not always cut and dry, especially with characters from different worlds. What you first have to realise is that there are several versions of Superman, e.g Pre-Crisis Superman and Man of Steel Superman. As you can see, one version of Superman can just about withstand bullets and tankshells while another version can move so fast that he can go back in time his strength is so great, he can move planets out of orbit. Not to mention his invunerability forcefield which protects him from pretty much everything. As strong as the Hulk may be, I doubt very much he can hurt something that is invincible. Also, in the link, it says that Superman actually exposed himself to kryponite as a child to develop an immunity to it as he grew up. Whether that is true or not, I don't really know.

Superman has defeated one of the most scrubbiest villains of all time; Doomsday. Doomsday has superstrength and other stuff but he has one ability that is so scrubby, it's unbelievable. If something kills Doomsday, he can bring himself back to life, and becoming resistant to the very thing that killed him in the first place as a result.

Now let's look at the Hulk's abilities.

Hulk can heal himself, withstand tankshells and other sorts of weaponry, get stupid amounts of strength when angry on top of his super strength, apparently has astral vision, can jump high, and can breathe underwater for a long time. Plus he's very big.

Now, comparing these points together, one version of Superman could absolutely crush the Hulk, unless the Hulk catches him running low on sunlight. Not to mention the fact that the Hulk could turn back into Bruce Banner and then get completely arse raped. On the other hand, one version of Superman could lose to the Hulk. Now that is how you lay out your facts in a character battle.

That was a very long post. Now, I can't even be bothered to change my avatar, lol. Oh yeah, and Dragon X, stop doing stupid character battle topics.

Let's lay this topic to rest.

I was under the impression that we were dealing with the modern "Man of Steel" Superman, since the Pre-Crisis Superman is all but lost in history.

I took a look at my copy of DC versus Marvel, where Superman And Hulk do fight, Superman won.
