i think because girls(just a guess) like to see handsome guys going at it with one another, instead of a guy + girl, maybe because the girl in the anime takes away from the enjoyment of the girl watching.

lol i see... yeah those two dont realy belong... naruto and sasuke yeah but not those two. there are many many more good pairs tho.
