Okay I've read through all six pages and must say I have seen some very good points and agree that people need to read all of a post, and actually say why they gave you whatever vote they gave you.
Another thing(not to huge) but I don't like it how you always say "Whatever" as shown in your post above, again not big or to serious just saying.
Like Kuragari said "This sort of goes for the chat, where you would make a somewhat sexual comment every now and again." I've seen those comments and I've never liked them. Mainly because they consisted of female body parts, most of the comments anyhow.
Quoting you(MC) "Since when was I not nice to people?" Okay yes you have already said that you should be given another chance and we should look past your past actions but still thet's where people are looking from, I remember you were mean, espcially when you were a Bold Brother.
"It's a popularity contest with some people, it seems." You've always said that, I've seen it on some of the other Mod Applications that you've posted on. And it's not always a popularity contest, it depends on how you show yourself and I disagree with this comment.
Okay I have seen posts saying give reasons okay well were here not to tell people to give reasons but to say our opinion on if MC should be a mod or not, and Kuragari does have a good points that others may greatly agree with.
"Fun for everyone, not just for one." Okay Raikou I agree with you. It's like telling someone not to call you a certain name(I realize I'm one of them, sorry) yet they go ahead and call you it anyways.
Sorry Yodama but your post was a little to long, but it was made June 19, 2007(page 4) Yes he had a temper, I'd pretty much face that temper at least once everytime I'd go into the chat and must agree I didn't like it but... it's pretty much gone. And it is true anyone can mask their anger on the internet because on the internet you can be pretty much whoever you want to be, no one truelly knows if we're lieing or not.
As for the people that kept changing their answer from no to yes or yes to no, it's kinda confusing and made me kinda annoyed. but it's understandable...
Okay I had just convinced myself that you were going to be a great mod but I am sad to say that what I just saw in the chat just sort of changed my answer. You should not be affected by the name Squirt. And you were. My descision will stay Undecided till further notice.
I realize this post may be long and may get off topic, but they are my opinions through out the whole 6 pages and sorry for any spelling/punctuating errors.

I realize I posted 10 minutes ago but I'd have to say maybe.
MC actually talked to me about it, without yelling which in my book is good compaired to our other talks(in the past) You are improving MC, keep it up and prove all the No's wrong.

I'll vote when I have come to a final descision.

So you say. I'm very mature enough. I just don't like lies. But, that doesn't belong here, does it?

What's it matter? It's already been proven that no one here thinks I can do the job, so it DOESN'T matter.

This thread should just be locked already...I want it, but I'll never get it.

Other then the fact that you gave us no detail on what you will do to help the forum, I think you gave a perfect moderator application.

Don't take this offensively, but I didn't read the entre thread, only your first post. I am just too busy to read the entire thing. But also, I wanted to put my word in here too seeing as I know you somewhat, and I agree to some extent that we need better and newer moderators.

I noticed that people are simply just attacking you because you do have a bad past. And I don't see how that is in any way fair. I agree upon the fact that you don't burn both ends of the candle stick, like you said in you first post. But I do also agree with the fact that you do have the tendacy to be overbearing at times.

But who am I to limit you to your personality? The person you are has little to no affect on your moderation abilities.( Well, I guess that's not one hundred percent accurate considering personality affects most things.. But you get what I mean. :-k :-s )

Right, so. I think you have what it takes to be a moderator, Austin. You work hard on something that catches your interest. And you seem to have been very interested in the subject of moderation for a while. So I say we should just give you a shot. Nothing is forever, right?

Also, I agree very highly with you that the past is in the past. People need to look to tomorrow, not wallow in sad memories of yesterday.

I hope you become a good contribution to Absolute Anime Moderation.

And if you don't make it right now, there is always hope for another time.

Good luck,
Mai

Thank you, for the lovely comments, Lacii. :D :D

And, do not worry about not reading the entire thread. I was more focused on people reading my application and making a comment and voting, if anything else. Usually reading the entire thread isn't necessary, if you have an opinion on something, it's surely hard to change it simply by reading others' comments, if that is what you meant by reading the reas of the thread.

As for what I'd do to help the forum, I thought that a bit implied, but I'd be more than happy to explain it to you. I feel as though some moderators are not quite 'tough enough'. I'm not saying that they should crack down on every little thing, I'm saying that they should be a little LESS lenient, and take the job a little more seriously. What I'm saying is, I've been to this forum for a loooong time, I make it a habit to travel all the forums on occasion, (though not ALL of the individual anime forums, as some of them I could care less about. Anime wise, I mean.) I'm saying I have what it takes to pay attention to things. I also know I'm a bit more strict when it comes to rules, especially on a site like this. You get 3 strikes with me. Not, "well...okay. I'll let you off THIS time..." stuff, like I've seen other moderators do. (just not with those exact words, that quote was more of a symbolic reference than someone's speech.)

I'm also glad you agree with me on the past. A lot of people know I've changed, but yet a lot of people like to bring up the past just to prevent me from reaching goals. I realize I CAN make crude jokes occasionally, but who doesn't? That's certainly not GOOD, but it's certainly not as bad as verbally attacking someone.

I think you will be ok MC, i think you will mature more if you become a mod.

I don't know what you was like before the year 2006.

But as we both know, we have had allot of flames wars. But if you get banned this tread will be moved to where the dead end appy go, that is what happened to mine.

Homunculus Lust wrote:hes not mature enough. sorry your my friend and all, but if you had the cpabilities of a moderater, you would go off the wire with them.

Seriously. I can't believe someone finally said it, so props to Homunculus Lust.

I wasn't able to make my earlier post longer, as I couldn't be on long enough to, so now I'm going to go ahead and voice my opinion now, and some truths while I'm at it. The "forget my past" front just ain't happening. In a society that works on first impressions, that's going to get you nowhere.

You've contradicted the hell out of this app from the time it was made to now. I dont come on here often because I have things to do, but seriously. Reading your posts, I can tell that all this is one huge front, and about 17 people fell for it. You try to stick with it, but you dont, as we can tell from that "c" bomb incident, and numerous other incidents. Don't get me started with that chat, I dont go in there if you're there, for the simple fact that either you sit there and flood the chat in lyrics, or you tell people to shut up, or you bug people. Plus, you watch other people's actions and pester them about it, yet you wont improve on your own actions?

You really dont take critisism well. At all.
Never have, never will.

The way you acted in the beginning of this app alone is reason enough to vote no, you may not see it like that, but it's true. That was the starting point of the contradictions to this app.

Now, going to what Lust said. You dont want to be a mod to do anything other than screw around with people's posts and kick people you dont want in the chat. Plus you want the "respect" and all that jazz. You don't respect anyone, so how do you excpect us to respect you? If this isnt a quest for power (Which it is) then the Sun revolves around the Earth.

This is something I noticed through your posts: You act in phases. You're "return" to AA from being a guest or whatever, you acted like you own the place, and you treated everyone as jerks. You get banned, came back a while and acted decent. But then, after a few days of that you acted like a jerk again and became banned again. After this you had a "emo" phase, in which you said you were leaving. People bought it but then you came back acting "nice" for a while and then made that one mod application. The same thing that happened here, happened in that mod application, and it failed. Then you went back to being a jerk again, banned, emo, pretend to leave to get attention, false nice, jerk, pretend to leave, false nice, mod app. Its a never ending cycle, and it never will change, no matter what you say about forgetting pasts or anything.

These are truths, and truths are never fun to learn. So, now we have my reason for why I said no, with combined reasons from one user and my own. Honestly, if you dont like how the mods are (As, I saw you waste an incredible amount of time bumping that one thread that Lilly made just to prove how immature she is, which made you come off looking like all thats been stated) see gaia or anime online. You havent seen but a few of the moderators anyway, so how would you know what kind of job they're doing? If fifty percent of the mods are crap, we dont need fifty one percent. ~Fin

:) Thanks for the comments, people.

Also, I'm not a jerk. Maybe you should get to really know me instead of slinging false accusations more often than a chimpanzee slings piles of poo at the zoo. [-( However, you can have your opinion. You THINK it is the "truth." You don't KNOW it's the truth. And truths are only someone that are true, and if you really shouldn't be certain that a truth is true, then how do you know a truth is really a truth, and not just a silly opinion?
