Let me put it to you this way...I enjoy My Chemical Romance. I like their two songs Helena and Ghosts of You and thats it. IMHO, My Chemical Romance wants to be the next Green Day and wants to be the next smashing punk rock band, which they are getting close to. In the end, however, MYC is simply another stereotypical punk band. Their music brings nothing new to the genre. Helena, however, is a masterpiece, especially the video. Still, MYC toys with typical punk rokcs issues such as the break up with a girlfreidnd, death, and world hate. I get sick of bands like this. Y'know those 12-year old girls (I'm not taking about some of the mature and cool ones on this site) who shop in Hot Topic with their moms? They are the kind who listen to MYC; MYC is another punkish band that, while having a good song here or there, isnt fresh and is just...fake...

I actually got quite emotional when I heard Helena. As for the band, they rock!!!

perhaps but isn't it also true that all bands are stereotypical? like lets say you listen to rap. alot of people who listen to rap also talk like there favorite rappers or dress like there favorite rappers. the same goes with punk rock. kanye west [spelling?] even admited himself that people dress like him. why do you think celebritys start there own clothing lines? people always want to look more like people they admire. if you admire MCR, you may shop at hot topic. if you listen to a raper you like you might get baggy clothes.
thats just my personaly oppion and you can take it anyway you like. eather way i dont care.
