Id have to stick with Princess Mononoke because the character are older. For some reason I like animes with main character that are around my own age...dun know why...but it was way aweseom, I wish Studio Ghibli would make a sequel. Also* Has anybody noticed that the main character 'Ashitaka' means something really...um well... DISTURBING!?! -in Japanese of course...

I say Princess Mononoke definitly. I really liked that beyond the action and cool plot there was a deeper meaning. (tho there probly was in Spirited away, too i just didnt pick it up)

I loved them both, they showed a great deal of creativity and both had a similar yet different feel to them. They also had their deal of comedic points and touching areas, and also both touched a feel of Japan.

Bun_ny: Oh! Tell me too. You sparked my curiosity and now I'm going to be wondering about it all day >_< lol.

Princess Mononoke is about a guy name Ashitaka. It is set in ancient times, where gods and demons still walk the earth, and while animals are gigantic, as they were in the dawn of time and they can talk.(thats pretty much the opening speech). So, Ashitaka gets poisoned by a demon who was originally a boar god, but was turned into a demon by humans. The humans fired an iron ball into his gut with a gun, driving him insane and turning him into a demon. So, Ashitaka gets poisened with a curse while killing it. Ashitaka has to travel far to find the great forest spirit, who controls life and death, and ask him to spare his life. So thats pretty much the setup.
