This was THE label that put hip hop on the map. It kicked off the careers of artists like The Sugarhill Gang, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. My favorite tracks from the Sugarhill catalog (so far) are:
"Rapper's Delight" and "8th Wonder" by Sugarhill Gang
"The Message" and "White Lines (Don't Don't Do It)" by Grandmaster Flash
"Break Dance-Electric Boogie" by West Street Mob (this sounds like something Shaun and Ed would listen to)
"That's The Joint" by Funky Four Plus One
