Absolute Anime

What is everyones opinion on the original japanese version of Beyblade? Has anyone ever seen any full episodes? ...Did you like it better?

I sure as heck do, and I'm sure most educated anime fans would agree that originals are more of the time better than dubbed anime.

If you guys didn't already know, Dizzi the thing trapped in Kyouju's laptop never existed in the original. She was added in for comic relief. Thankfully Nelvana did something right for once I cut her out in G Revolution.

I also can't stand those annoying english lyrical songs they play during the beybattles. It totally kills the atmosphere and the momentum of things.

I could ramble on forever on how much I hate Nelvana for their poor job on dubbing Bakuten Shoot Beyblade but I won't.

Anyways what's your opinion?

I have only seen a few episodes of G-Revolution in Japanese, I can't be of much help.

i haven't actually seen the original but, they're usually the way best. at least they don't go cutting scences out just cuz its violent or sumthing.

I agree. Anyone who hasn't seen a JPN Opening/Ending has never seen the real Beyblade.

Seems you are a jap guy..hmmm. I haven't seen the japanese version of Beyblade but I can say it must be good coz one of my jap e-friends says that.

I have to agree with you actually Takao. I dislike the dubbed series but really enjoy the original japanese ones. One reason is that they have their original names .. the point in changing 'Rei' to 'Ray' I will never understand. Dizzi is extreamly annoying, as are Brad Best and AJ Topper. I won't even get started on the songs >_o .. Why they felt the need to change them just .. no.
I also hate the fact they edited so much out! I mean some of it wasn't even violence or whatever it was they took it out for >:{
And I like Maxie's little english 'Oh my God!' .. it just sounded so cute and funny >3<

Anyways .. yes, in short I prefer the Japanese version. And all you fans, go watch the original episodes on YouTube *nods* They're well worth watching ;3

Well, I'm from a different country and here the english version is telecasted. It not that I'm saying that the japanese version is bad, I can't say anything because I haven't seen it but I'd say that AJ Topper and Brad Best are funny sometimes...But what is different is that like you guys, Beyblade in my country is dubbed in our native language and believe me, its really funny. The voices suits the characters the best and its so lively. I love the guy's voice who dubbed for Tyson in my native language's version. I'll sure do check the japanese version episodes on YouTube. Anyways, I must admit that I like some of the English dubbed voices .. 'specially Tala's .. it just fits. And yeah, sometimes AJ and Brad's comments are rather amusing ^^;
I like the English dubbed Tyson voice too *nods* But I like the Jap one too .. I prefer Rei's jap voice and Maxie's English .. basically, I like parts from both but it's always good to watch the original too : D

I'm from Asia. Here the English version is telecasted but then it is dubbed in our language. That means the version is english but the language
is the one which we usually speak. Tyson's voice is the smartiest and the coolest I've ever heard and Kenny's voice is really cutee...And the guy who dubs for Kai has a heacy and serious kind of voice and I like it.
