i love green day :] their songs rock

this thread should be locked. so many greenday threads, so many that talk only about American Idiot. i propose making an "Official Green Day Thread."

I propose to ban this horrible excuse of music from the U.S., and all other countries that inhabit people with attention spans.

Uh, Slash, I don't think Green Day is THAT bad.

Their older stuff is actually pretty good; while American Idiot gave Green Day and ridiculous punkish/emo/rebel look, their older music and true talent is unique and good.

they ARE overrated, but, like Oni-kun said, older is better.

I think that their older stuff was just as much rubbish as it is today. Only difference is they weren't trendy back then, but they were still fakes. If you may notice, I hate anything that tries to bring punk into the mainstream.

Green Day never did that, unitl American Idiot.

i think Slash is the kinda guy who, when he hates something, its instantly something that doesnt deserve to see the light of day. sorry slash, but thats my current perception on things. but, before this turns into some kinda flame, one for defending, one for attacking the band, this should be locked and/or moved.
