Heya, I need your help!
You know how in Japanese Sailor Moon in the last episode of season 1 the Sailor scouts die and they dont in the english version, what happens when they die, what does Serena (Usagi) do without them do the new Sailor scouts sudddenly appear or do the old 1ns come back from the dead?

in the english version she just doesnt die.. like they change sooo much when they translate it its stupid.
thats why i like just downloading the original or watching to orginal dialog with subtitles

SPOILER ALERT FOR END OF FIRST SEASON!*~*~*~*~*

To elaborate on what happens in the original version---Queen Beryl's yuma kill the senshi off one by one (in the dub they say they've been "captured by the Negaverse" or whatever). After the final battle with Metallia, Usagi dies from the power of the ginuishozou but before she does she makes a wish that she and her friends can be reborn as normal girls. And they are, with no memory of their lives as senshi. And that's where the R season begins.

Well, as you've probably already heard, the final episode from the dub was two episodes in the original version.

In the first episode they Senshi travel to the D-Point in the Arctic circle. They face off aganst the DD Girls and get killed off one by one, like Universia said. Then Moon gets all mopey and cries for a while, until she is visited by the ghosts of the other Senshi, who encourage her to continue on.

The second episode is all fighting. First Moon fights Endymion. This battle is much longer in the original, but it ends more or less the same. Endymion is healed and then dies protecting Moon. Moon then goes on to fight Metallia/Beryl, that part was more or less unaltered (visually anyway.) The dialogue was changed, I'm fairly sure, but it's been a long time since I watched the dub. At the end, Usagi makes a wish to live a normal life as she lies there dying, and so everyone is ressurected without their memories of the past year.

ADV released a domestic subtitled version of the first season a few years ago which was unedited and uncut. If you can find a copy somewhere, you might want to check it out. It's been out of print for three years now, so I'd start with places like eBay or the Amazon.com used market.

I now myself am an expert on Japanese Sailor Moon !!!! I have almost all the box sets and am almost finished watching the whole of the series! I have growen to hate the english dub ( Yes, hate!!!) and am proud that I own the original version! Im hoocked basicly!

Don't hate the dub too much. After all, without it you probably never would have found the Japanese version. I don't particularly like the dub either, but I don't hate it. I can understand why DiC made most of the changes they did. I'm not saying I like the changes, just that I can see why they wanted to avoided homosexual relationships in a show they were ostensibly aiming at young children, for example.
I have no particular reason to watch the dub now that I have the entire series on DVD, but neither do I intend to spend my valuable time and energy hating it for being a bad translation. SM wasn't the only anime to get butchered in the past, I'm just glad to see that, by and large, the translations are getting better and better in the present.

Yeh, you are right translations are getting much better but in my veiw it was really terrible the way they dubbed it. I hate it because they took out all sence that it was acctually made in Japan which would have been heartbreaking for the creator, well sad at least. I feel for her!

Im collecting the seiris! I just finished Season S about an hour ago!
