Absolute Anime

What's your opinion on speakers vs. headphones for gaming? What kind do you use of each? I had a great-sounding set of Sony speakers for years, but they were stolen out of my house last week. I've noticed I'm hearing a lot that I didn't hear before, mostly things in the background. I've also seen that I really don't like the sound of explosions and gunshots in headphones, need the space of the room to hear them at their best.

i have Bose speakers and headphones, i use them both depending on the situation

I prefer using headphones for everything.

well i use mostly speakers, the ones on my computer are the ones from my familys old Windows 95 which makes my speaker about 11 years old since we got the comouter in 96 but hey they still wokr work GREAT and haven't failed me yet and i use heahphones for my MP3 player that pretty much what i use headphones for

i use my head set...

mainly: it's easier to hear people sneaking up on you, and i can talk to my teammates.

I like speakers because headphones aren't exactly good for your ears...at least extended sessions and what gaming session isn't extended??

it's actually recommended for hard core shooter gaming to use a head set or head phones.

1) because if your sniping people can just knife you in the back
2) because if your sniping people can shoot you from behind
3) you can talk in a head set making it easier to tell people
4) head sets are fn awsome! i got mine for 20 bucks and it works like a dream ^_^

I also perfer Headphones,thth way noby else thtz around you will here anything ur listening to,unless your playing a game where u have live chat...anywayz all around i perfer headphones over speakers.

I usually try to use headphones when I play RPG's unless the music is bad XD

hmm...headphonez..yup.but when im in my room,listening to the radio ill use the stereo speakerz.
