air and air tv had one of the saddest anime endings ever...i mean why did she gave to...!!

fma(i can't stop crying everytime i watch the last episode or the movie.), air tv, fushigi yuugi (well, the end is beautiful, but i cry a lot with it!)

kannazuki no miko is the saddest in my opinion

For me, the saddest ever is Knight Hunters Eternity but the following also have some very sad endings or major sad parts before you you get to the ending.

thats a great list I guess I need to watch some of those shows Ive only seen about seven out of that hole list.

I Cried so hard in Elfen Lied. I can't think of any anime off the top of my head that the ending was sad, i mean i've cried before, but only for my own reasons. I mean, i cried at GunSlinger Girl..... I am ashamed.... And i cried at fruits basket.

well i was totally gay for spike so i did*makes muscle pop out*sheded a tear for spike *bang*when he did that and the music rolled so did one tear of mine

Yes it was. Out of the entire cast of heroes, three survived, and one of them went insane.

Of course, there are other anime with higher body counts.

I agree that the ending of these two anime were sad. To add, the end of Paradise Kiss was also sad but it was Grave of the Fireflies that made me cry. The few last eps of Midori no Hibi, too. huhuhu...oh i love those anime.

I go so damn depressed from Elfen Lied, not sad depressed i mean... the OP is so...un happy!
