Absolute Anime

Beyblade season 1 was put on DVD, 10 volumes, 5 episodes per disc, the first volume containing 6. They completely skipped season 2. For some reason, season 2 was never put on DVD. Season 3 was put on DVD, but only seven volumes were released, each disc containing 3 episodes. So, only 21 episodes were released on DVD, then, it was just canceled. Why was that? Does anyone have a clue? I think its strange, cause I found out Beyblade was one of the best anime, among others.

I think it was just lack of sales or something.

Beyblade Season 1 was by far the most popular series in Japan, the other series did not do so well.

In western countries, G Revolution seemed to be the most popular. Maybe they planned everything to stop after the real Beyblade world tournament ended in America, which was 2004 I think.

Hmm...Yeah I wonder. I mean it does make sense. I think season 1 was the best. I saw half of season 2, and while it was good, the character design suffered. I've never seen G Revolution yet, although I do have DVDs 2 & 3. I haven't watched them yet.
For the most part, I agree with you though. However, G Revolution stopped its run in Dec. 2003. Judging by volume 14 of the manga, the manga stopped its run in June 2004 in Japan. Why I think that is because of a letter the creator wrote. It was dated June 2004, and he was thanking all the readers for supposrting Beyblade.
But, yeah, I can see why the ratings went after season 1.

You are right about the fact that the character designing of the second part suffered..they were looking smaller than they looked in the 1st series..which is pointless because they had grown up in the 2nd series.. I like the character designing of the 3rd one though..^^ And ya, Elf Princess, you should definetely watch the 3rd series..the characters beyblade skill have improved a lot and the battles are amazing ^-^

Great! I can't wait to see it. I just gotta find the remaining DVDs, and I'm good to go. Now, if only they would put episodes 21-51 on DVD, then Beyblade G Revolution would be complete.

Well, It's really weard. I've tryed to find on sales, but if you want to download those episodes, last time I checked,This site http://www.da-anime.org has got beyblade first, second and thirs series, but the first only password download.
Here in Portugal only the first 4 episodes of the first beyblade series came for sales. And you can't get anything about Zeo anywere.[/url]
