Is there any really good non gundam mecha manga out there? Whenever I look for mecha manga, all I ever find is a ton of gundam manga. And when I do find a non gundam mecha manga, it's always discontinued and out of print, so I can't get that.
Can you help?

The Full Metal Panic manga can still be found. The Armor Trooper Votoms: Supreme Survivor if you can find it. It pop up every now and then cheap. Mainly because Gundam has over shadowed that classic mecha series.
Gundam of late has been sinking deeper and deeper into the qualities of the A.D.D. generation, so it hasn't been getting any better of late.

Try Gravion or Gadguard.
I love both, specially Gadguard, but Gravion is quite interesting too. The animes are worth watching too.

Neon Genesis Evangelion would be your best bet.

Yeah but the manga was left unfinished...And the anime too, the ending was in a movie that I actually think was called "Evangelion: The Endidng" (not sure).

I'm pretty sure the anime wasn't finished either, my friend, at least to as expected.
The Neon Genesis Evangelion project was one of the revolutionary projects of the 90's, but the storyline and cast a recipe for disaster (from depressive characters to an abusive and confusing storyline) however it worked out brilliantly and brought a whole new view on anime.
The budget for Evangelion was also extremally tight and therefore thanks to this anime a whole new array of economizing techniques were born (like placing the characters hands in front of their mouths to save money on dialoge movement), however upon it's release the and despite it's unexpected success the budget was still extremally tight not allowing the scheduled ending, leaving it imcomplete just as the manga.
However you may have seen the end of the main series instead of the uncut japanese version which was incomplete. And checked this time
However we are getting waaaaaaaaay off-topic so back to the main issue *points at thread title*
