Absolute Anime

I wanted to just make your general MGS discussion thread ^^ Because its so awesome, and also I have spoken to many on this site who like it too.

I enjoyed Snake Eater best I thought it was great and so many cut-scenes and stuff amazed me so much xD. (The Opening For Example).
Colonel Volgin was my favourite MGS character along with Liquid and Naked Snake! I thought the Shagohod was awesome too, I'd rather have that to Metal Gear Rex anyday >:].

Ocelot was amazing in Snake Eater, he was often a real big *@*& in the others, but still kinda kool . EVA was Hot.

MGS4 looks prett yamazing aswell, and I'm 100% positive it will be a big Hit around the globe! ^^

snake eater was the first one i ever played and it was pretty cool
and even the opening was sweet

Yeash, The Snake Eater Opening was based on a James Bond ne, Hideo Kojima ,The Director, is a huge fan of James Bond.

Ofcourse MGS1 was just a classic too =3

my favorite is MGS1: the twinsnakes for GCN. That one puts MGS1 with the great controls and graphics from MGS2

I played the heck out of the original Metal Gear Solid.

It isn't a secret that he lives on. I've even seen a cutscene where my fave metal gear is Snake Eater. but, the original Metal Gear games from the 80's where crap hard. stealth doesn't work in 2D people

I Played Both the first and second MGS games because my older brother owns them, and may I say they were impossibly hard. I didn't get very far at all XD

Portable Ops is also hard :S. I think I made a mistake when I chose the 'Normal' option when I started the game. But I choose 'Normal' on all the games I play, so it feels that I have accomplished something and also it feels that I have done the game on the standard level of complication ^^

A 360 port of MGS4 is entirely possible... Exculsive games are looking to start becoming a thing of the past. In fact I hope they do then I won't have to spend money on a PS3...

Sorry it's not going to happen. Ever. In recent demonstrations for the press they've really been stressing that MGS4 is PS3 exclusive. It's in like every trailer and demo know.

Kojima even said that he has no intention of making a version for the 360 because it would hinder what he could accomplish. That is, he's using almost all the space in the 40GB Blu-ray disc and the PS3's HDD to cut loading times. If it were ported to the 360 it would have to come packaged on 5 different discs and the load times would be forever because by default 360 developers must make games playable without the HDD.

thats only on a direct port. if you decided to read before going all blu-ray on me, you'd have seen the 360 coders, so yes, it may be hindered visually, and maybe have longer loading times, but, the 360 is still capable of beautiful graphics, and the story wont hinder at all. i'd still buy and play it even if it was coloured blobs for characters. its a fan thing

He's hiring 360 coders because he's said before that he'd like to develop games on the 360 after MGS4 is released. It doesn't mean that it's coming to 360. Yes the 360 has great graphics but it can't handle MGS4.

I actually prefer it when Games are 'Exlusive' to a console anyway, because I was kinda upset when they put The new Guilty Gear on Wii before PS2 ¬_¬

MGS does not suit the XBox Anyway, its better left for the PS franchise.

naw, it would rock on the XBox. its something people have been wanting for years. i know i have. and instead, the Gamecube gets a remake. Nintendo don't deserve jack these days. except for inginuity praise. otherwise, no. Mario should be put to bed. and then smothered with a pillow untill he stops struggling.
