Premature Evacuation- Which shows should have lasted longer?

Post by webmaster »

I was chatting the other day with someone about TV shows that were canceled before the really had a chance to grab viewers and bring in the ratings. What shows do you think were canceled to soon?
I think:
Firefly
Andy Richter Controls the Universe
Drive
Dark Angel
Enterprise

I agree with Firefly, and Dark Angel.

But I was happy about Enterprise, hated that show :x Probably because my dad liked it.

I really liked Firefly

I came into Enterprise during the second season, but I liked it and thought it was way better than Voyager or DS9.

i agree with Firefly. The Shield too, that seemed to get cut short... but that maybe just how it was aired here in the UK. oh, there was this other cop show... one of them was called Fearless... Boomtown, thats it. that got cancelled in America i believe. good series though.

From what I know, the fastest that a show ever got cancelled was 1/3 of an episode.

It was a spin off of funniest home videos called naughtiest home videos. it had a 90 minute fist episode, and was taken off the air after 33 minutes. It never played again.

Also, it was a show in Australia.

Enterprise was so-so. I watched it on and off through out it's run and at times it was good, but man did it play around with the canon timeline.
Spoiler
Show
Xindi going all Ginsu on Florida?
Jeez, there were times when I wish they'd stayed a little close to the designs and canon that had been in place during the movie years in the 70's and 80's.

Alternately, I think it would have been a little badass if they had the series take place during the time of the Enterprise C.. I always thought that TNG episode was the most interesting.

And for my picks: The soon to be 'Canceled' Battlestar Galactica. Too bad they're being strong armed by Sci-fi to end it early.. Maybe we can get a prequel from the war 40 years prior, because I heard Razor did some good with portraying Ole Husker during his golden days as a Viper Pilot.
Spoiler
Show
Husker being Admiral Adama, of course.
