Other songs that are exactly the same are:
Hot Cross Buns
Three Blind Mice
It's the same tune for both, just different lyrics.
Lyrics: Hot Cross Buns:
Hot cross buns,
Hot cross buns,
one ha' penny,
two ha' penny,
hot cross buns.
If you have no daughters,
give them to your sons,
one ha' penny,
two ha' penny,
Hot Cross Buns
Lyrics: Three Blind Mice:
Three blind mice. Three blind mice.
See how they run. See how they run.
They all ran after the farmer's wife
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife.
Did you ever see such a thing in your life
As three blind mice?

I see.
What was the time span between the release of these 2 songs?
It could have just been a coincidence.

i dont have that problem per sé, but i can have a hard time distinguishing some songs apart due to similarities. examples are some of rise against's old stuff. I used tostruggle with their Revolutions Per Minute album, but not no more. but their "The Unraveling" album is kinda hard to distinguish, because most of it is made up of fast short songs, where they are basically thrashing their instruments. not their best album, lol.

Neil Sedaka - Better Days Are Coming
The two songs are more or less the same, except for the lyrics. IIRC, Neil Sedaka is credited in the song during the credits for the show, which is odd. It's also said that Sedaka allowed more of his music for the show too, but only to be used within Asia. If released in America, then the songs would have to be pulled (which they were). And for those of you that don't know who Neil Sedaka is:

Strange indeed..
