Our world has changed, the rips in time and space molding it to something different. No longer do we wear our hearts on our sleeves, but our souls stand beside us. And war of the normal kind has been abolished, the Church rising to stand a dominant figure of authority around the world. But a secret war still rages. A war of the more supernatural kind.

DAEMONS

In this world of where our souls stand beside us in animal form, a form that often mirrors our personality.For children up to the age of 15, their soul, or Daemon, does not settle in one form, but after 15 the Daemon settles. A Daemon has its own name and its gender is always the opposite gender of its human.

THE WAR

But this war, the only war left, has been going long before any other war, but in secret. Now it is known and humans sway in the decision of going against the church or stay true to 'The Faith'. The rebels that go against the church are a cult, or some even call them a race, of humans that possess the power to teleport (or jump) from one place to anywhere they so choose. The Church has a special faction to take out these 'Jumpers', called Paladins, who can sense when a Jumper is about to Jump with a certain radius of the Paladins position. They use specialist weaponry, like tether weapons, which harness the Jumpers and using a special electrical charge running through them can prevent a Jumper from Jumping.

You can be a Jumper or Paladin or helper of either side. Remember your Daemon!

Bio: As with most Jumpers, Keiti made her first Jump at the age of 5. And with most Jumpers, her parents abandoned her. She has fended for herself ever since, with her Daemon Shenron, and is a skilled Jumper. It is rare for Jumpers to not be killed by their teens, but Keiti is one of the lucky ones, living with a group of Jumper sympathetic people, the Gyptians.
Anything else?: Gyptians are water born, bred and die people, always living on the ocean or canals inland.

Bio: Kaelin does not know he has a Jumper sister(and Vice Versa) The Church bought him in soon after Keiti dissapeared from his life and has trained him since. His current total is 21 Jumpers.

Bio: Hikaru is half Japanese (father), half Spanish (mother). Slightly anti-social but very kind. He cares for those who need and deserve it and although only being with Acera for a little over a year, the two are the best of friends. He is on the side of The Church because he believes that only those who believe are those who are saved.

Aki-kun you cant be a Jumper if you want to be on the side of The Church, you gotta be a Paladin or a Human

Keiti was standing on the top of one of the Gyptian boats she stayed with, watching carefully the shoreline of the canal. Shenron sat silently beside her like a detailed statue, occasionally an ear flickering.
"You shouldn't be out during the day Keiti. You know there is a price on your head," Keiti shivered despite the warm coat, woolly hat and hand knitted scarf she was wearing. Her hands were deeply in her pockets and she scowled out at the shoreline.
"Only with the Paladins. Normal people will let me be. Plus I want to go shopping. I am a teenage girl after all," Shenron rolled his eyes and sighed
"Your shopping expeditions will get us caught you know. What if they kill me and let you live? I've heard they do that. And on top of this, your going to the city of Hartifeld. You do know that the Paladin headquarters are there?" Keiti shuddered again at the thought of life with out Shenron then pushed the thought from her mind as he lectured her.
"I know," she grinned mischievously, "Its not like I'm going to Jump while I'm there. Maybe," Shenron stood and growled at her
"You risk my life if you risk yours, remember this Kei," Her face softened and she kneeled next to him and hugged him tightly.
"Don't worry, I promise I will not put us in any unnecessary danger. Just trust me okay?" they broke away as the boat came into the docking bays. They both said their goodbyes to the Gyptian family then stepped onto the busy pier.
"C'mon Shenron! Lets go have fun!" Shenron rolled his eyes as she ran off towards the town center, then loped along behind her.

Kaelin sat beside the fire in the common room. A book was open on his lap, but his mind was far away, his fingers steeled under his chin, his eyes distant. The fire crackled, sending shadows dancing across the dim room. Even though the sun was shining outside, Lord Kaelin, one of the highest Paladins in the sect, preferred the heavy velvet curtains shut. As always, his special weapon was lent on his armchair, guarded by the powerful yet gentle Maia. The white tiger seemed to be asleep, but her tail swept side to side occasionally. Kaelin snapped out of his daze as a servant entered, his dog Daemon following obediently. Maia's head rose as she watched them both approach, the dog whining slightly at both his and his Humans unease of the big Daemon.
"Lord Kaelin, the other Paladins will be coming soon, shall I ask the cooks to start breakfast?" Kaelin nodded and looked back at the fire. As the servant began to leave he spoke out.
"Is the boy that my father trained coming today? Kai Ikari?" The servant shrugged his shoulders, wondering at the boy comment even though there was only two years difference between the Paladins, "I don't know if Lord Kai is coming, would you like me to send a request for him to join the rest of you?" Kaelin nodded almost imperceptibly and the servant realized he was dismissed. Kaelin sighed as the servant left.
"There is a Jumper in the city today Kaelin,"
"There are many Jumpers in this city," he paused slightly, "But I know what you mean,"

Aki was at the church laying in his animal form and relaxing. AKi was a boy that try to keep everything peaceful and in harmony but, sometimes he can get over stressed and fight without thinking. Aki was looking at the stain glass deep in thought.

"why are some people so angry at the world. I think things happen for reason. For me right now i can't see the reason this events happen. Soon or later the real message will come to us and we will see why we become what we are"

Aki got up and strected. He also yawned and walk to the entrance door.

Kai was in his room with Kira, who was lying on the bed, looking at him. "We should go for breakfast." She said softly. "Maybe..." They heard a knock on the door and Kai went answer it. A servant was there with a big dog. "Yes?" The servant looked at him. "Master Kai, Master Kaelin requests your presence for breakfast." Kai looked at him then answer slowly. "Thank you. I'll be there in a few minutes." The servant bowed and left. "Come Kira, it seems someone wants to see us..." He smiled at his companion, while she stretched and got up, walking to him and leaving the room. Kai followed her.
