Absolute Anime

Two legendary bands, same genre, but still very different. I'm not sure I'd call Metallica more popular, although I would say they get the most air-time presently by far. Matter of fact, not sure I hear too much Maiden on the waves anymore.

This thread is an easy pick for me. My hate for Metallica knows no boundaries, whereas Iron Maiden might possibly be the best band ever. My opinion though.

If you haven't heard any Iron Maiden songs, I'd suggest getting up to speed. If you haven't heard Metallica, you probably don't have a radio.

There's no right or wrong answer, unless you choose Metallica, in which case you'd be wrong. Vote and discuss!

I favor neither. Although Maiden's live shows are quite alot of fun to watch, never mind listening.

As much as I could get head deep in my feelings towards these bands, their are many many other bands I would listen to before these guys.

Maiden, Metallica had been tainted with all thier new shite.

I like them both... So I can't choose one over the other.

I admited the maiden live shows are fun to watch, if you ignore all the aging dads around you.

Old Metallica was good. Their new stuff is crap.

C'mon, we all know fanbase is no way to rate a band [-X Besides, look at bands like Rush, Megadeth and Skynard. Nothing but a bunch of hippies, wannabe Hells Angels and redneck degenerates, but you can't deny that talent.

I'm not sure what this puddle rock is, but if that's the label given to Metallica, it sounds about right.

Maiden, isn't a fav for me. I mean I find that it might mostly be just the way that they make almost, if not all, songs into a story. Besides most of their songs are just way too long.

So, therefore, I gave my vote to Metallica.


I also find that the only songs that are turned into a story are the ones made by Tenacious D.

oh and, uh, Metallica and Maiden are both played equally on XM Radio. :2

The only band that proceeds Rush in overall hippiness may very well be the Grateful Dead. Besides, I didn't say their music was bad, I said the fanbase just likes to light up the ol' peyote.
